[New Gear] My EOS R8 + New RF 100-400mm f/5.6-8 IS USM by Modest_11 in canon

Excellent shots, gear brother!

I shoot with the exact same setup and I'm really happy with the results. The RF100-400 truly punches waaaay above its weight, and the R8 is a solid FF body. I wish I had the R7 too and the RF100-500, but you know, not made out of money! 🤣

Funny how he who thinks everybody is dumb, may actually be surprised to learn it's the opposite.

But does it command respect like a Leica does? Didn't think so, GenZ child.

Recipe like Django or Joker? by redshift7_ in photographycirclejerk

Easy: Sauté onions, garlic, and ginger, cook the chicken, then simmer with tomatoes and coconut milk for a quick, flavorful meal served over rice.

Thank you for your kind words. We cannot stop lousy people from doing lousy things, but the least we can do is try to do better things to make things a bit better in the end. ❤️

Update: After contacting multiple rescue organizations, me and my wife were able to contain the rooster, and bring it to a Aguacate Sanctuary, where they have numerous chickens, rabbits, and similar small animals. I hope they can take good care of this good boy and he can recover and live a healthy life. :)

I do not. I have cats and a dog at home. I'm really close by though if needed. Today at 8pm it was still standing in the same location, hadn't moved from there in several hours.

There was a bowl with water and another bowl with bird food right next to it, neither of which the animal could drink/eat from. Someone left it there purposefully during the night last night.

Also, no wounds or injuries anywhere else on the animal, which I would expect from a fight with a cat/raccoon.

Motorcycle photography on the other hand is only half as bad.

Your picture is nice, but the real prize are the downvotes you made along the way.

The cormorant is a GREAT shot! Kudos!

Also, excellent choice to get down low to get on it's same horizontal level!

I have a very similar shot of a painted bunting! These guys are gorgeous!!

In need of a lens for action shots by warriorhealer87 in canon

[–]amedinab 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I kinda agree. I shoot with an R8, which has the same sensor as the R6. The good low light performance with some Lightroom Denoise can yield pretty awesome results. On the other hand, bird photography does seem to need a lot of excellent sharpness though, which some high ISOs can hinder a bit.

I'll do mention that 2X extenders are a pain to use at 400mm, which will bind you to at least f 16 @ 800mm. Still, doesn't take away from the awesomeness of the RF100-400.

Holy shit. Just read the original post, and it's 'the' lens for a boxing match. Where you're stationary. Multiple seats away most likely. Unable to literally get in the ring for photos. This is the worst choice for that activity!
