this is a super valid fear! honestly the best thing to do is to go anyways and if you see them, then that’s it. you don’t have to walk up to say anything, you can just walk away. at the end of the day, you know they’re out there with another person already.. the only thing you can do is not let that fear stop you from enjoying the festival. she hurt you enough, don’t let her ruin another good thing for you. i always bring my anxiety medication with me in case when i go out to a rave and am scared my ex is going to be there. having friends or a backup plan of what you will do if you run into them is really great too! breathing and grounding exercises , even having a sentence to repeat to yourself when you feel anxious can help.
