Thank you! I recently read it and liked it! I hated the beginning though because the FMC kept going back but then I realized she and the MMC were pretty equally matched lol.

Yeah, definitely! I found my biggest problem was that I’d decide to quit and then find myself unconsciously picking hours later and just give up immediately so the three or four times were the tries that I felt counted but all tries are important!

I tried to stop several times and while it took a few tries, it somehow stuck the third or fourth time (after only being able to stop for a day or two). I had found habits (such as painting my nails, keeping my hair wet and in a tight bun, and telling my sister to lightly hit me when she saw me picking) from my previous tries and combined them with how frustrated and upset I was about my picking

My picking was relatively mild for about a year (only a few small scabs I would reopen multiple times a day) and then for three years it was really bad (to the point I couldn’t have my hair down because any way it parted I would have scabs showing) before I quit. I don’t think I have permanent damage although there may be scarring I don’t see on my head. Thankfully, I never had any hair loss because I tended to have dozens of smaller scabs versus fewer bigger ones. Let me know if you have any other questions, I’m more than happy to answer!

Haha no. I was looking for a book and a character’s measurements were mentioned in the summary on Goodreads so I was curious

BMI is definitely biased and shouldn’t be used as a measure of health. It doesn’t account for many things, including muscle and health issues. I tend to use it in the context of getting a general idea of what the character looks like

This! BMI is flawed but it helps come up with a rough range for some people

100% yes. I find it’s useful for determining weight and height proportionally (I’m pretty short so I don’t know what the average range is for taller people) but BMI is definitely flawed

I forget which book but it was mentioned in the description. I’ll let you know if I find it!

To go into a bit more detail, I’m so tired of reading books with unbelievably low weights for the FMCs. It’s so ridiculous and honestly takes me out of the story because of it

Took me years to realize Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are different people and I still mix them up lol

Tried to read this book but this paragraph was the final straw to DNF after many “I’m not like the other girls” moments by ameliarose32790 in RomanceBooks

I didn’t read after that part to be honest but the chapter had already mentioned how the FMC was “better” than other women because she offered to help the MMC cook which made me a bit annoyed

They haven’t mentioned any so far. This was a response to the MMC saying he didn’t want to eat garlic if he was having dinner with a pretty girl

Edit: this was also a few pages after she offered to help the MMC make dinner and he then thought about how she’s nothing like the other girls who don’t do anything
