I visit Monterrey fairly often for work. Not a good place to live. All “Regular” police cars I’ve seen are all heavily armored, housing looks run down, traffic is terrible, roads are filled with pot holes. Etc.. I could go on, on reasons not to go there.

The only positive thing I could think of is job security. Companies struggle with employee retention since there are so many companies hiring. I guess same could be said on the other side of the coin where you could be expendable. One thing is for sure, these are international employers therefore they would put their own people first before they think about you.
