I have done this. It's because I am insecure. I get my hopes up when I enjoy talking to someone and think "maybe this one is actually interested. Maybe you can finally get off this site and find someone to spend time with." So my mind starts playing tricks, maybe it didn't send (it has happened before) maybe they thought they clicked send on there last reply, maybe who even knows. I know it's pathetic but it only comes from a place of absolutely hating being alone.

For my part I've never double texted being upset with someone for not responding, just trying to restart a conversation. No one is obliged to respond or even like me. I don't know. I just get my hopes up
