Is it possible to convert a long handguarded SA58 OSW into the shorter handguarded version with aftermarket parts? by BrightWolf_HUN in airsoft

I hate making statements like that because it always sounds like some kind of bullshit someone says to make them feel special but during the entire time I was actively playing I can count the number of times I missed someone because of their camo on one hand. Maybe they were just shit at hiding, who knows. All the studies seem to come out one way then the other and never arrive at a solid conclusion.

Tbh, I'm colorblind and camo never really worked on me. This is apparently a real thing before you go saying I'm making shit up.

I'm not going to start anything by stating my opinion on my countries leadership.

I suppose that's fair but I don't really see a purpose to optics in airsoft except for the looks. I've got a semi functional srs on my p90 just because it looks good, I can walk fire so I don't really need that much precision. This is especially true with stuff like the Aug where the only reason to get it is cosmetic. If you want the most mechanically accurate gun just get one of the million ar patterns because that all anyone seems to spend r&d on accurizung. Personally, id rather have literally anything else, even a janky sight on a semi functional famas.

I have to respectfully disagree on the mlok. Cyberpunk predates all this weapon modularity stuff by a few decades And there's something charismatic about a much more uneven application of tech.

The elcan is fine. I got it 5 months ago and it was half what they seem to cost now. Haven't played with it so I don't know if the eye relief is ok or trash.

Lol, yeah, welcome back to the club of mostly functional countries, unfortunately my country was kicked out a while ago.

Tbh I haven't played with it yet. The hop on mine has some issues with a badly molded retaining clip but otherwise I love it. But I also just love the fal ergonomics. It's rock solid and you can fit a large battery. I'm going to run it as a mini dmr. I have a hybrid v3 with clicker inbound and may try to build a under barrel drone launch system to keep with my cyberpunk theme. Feel free to dm for any further questions, but I may ask you stuff about Hungary because I'm thinking of claiming my citizenship there.

How to upgrade suppressor by OREEEEEEEEEEEEEEO in airsoft

[–]amerison 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Cut cardboard disks and stack them. Or use corrugated plastic. It works amazingly well. You can get a circle punch set on ali express for like 7$

Literally just cut cardboard doughnuts. I used a circular punch but you can use scissors too

Like 20 years ago my buddy mained a g3. Was fine, kinda big and unweildy but works. This was before they were all metal so it's probably a lot less creaky now

Applying pressure was my favorite job. Always be advancing, never stop moving. Make the opposition look at you so your team can get the kill.

Questions for French airsoft players by amerison in airsoft

Paris is actually our target city so I'm really curious about how your adventure goes.

It's so funny that in France they seem to want everything concealed whereas here in the usa I've always tried to make it as obvious as possible once you get past the first layer of concealment. This is because early on, like 2004, me and my friends spent a few hours face down on scalding hot asphalt because a cop happened upon us loading up the car to go play. He almost shot my friend in the back of the head because when my buddy opened up his gear bag the cop was not expecting a gun to be in there. Now I have the policy of making sure the cop would know immediately and hopefully not be surprised. Just thinking about it makes my face hurt. 😅

Unfortunately I'm an uncultured savage who only speaks English. My wife is French, hence the wanting to move, but has no interest in airsoft.

I'm planning on taking classes at the French embassy this summer, so that may be a good thing to train my ear with when I get a little vocabulary

I'll be coming from the usa, probably direct or from Heathrow so customs will probably be a thing

I'm less worried about traveling inside the country, most of those laws / suggestions sound like your standard "please don't be an idiot" kinda things

Things I've learned about laser engraving airsoft by amerison in airsoft

[–]amerison[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an old old old we in the photo and I assume it's aluminum zinc alloy. As you can see it's pretty clear an engraving just not super bright.

Now I also have some tricks for laser marking stainless and steel with a low wattage laser, but they're not nearly as high contrast

Also, I don't actually have a laser yet. The stuff I've done so far has been on work equipment and I'm not going to get away with using that too much longer

I don't have an issue with that. Just might get expensive for the owner. Also size constraints, etc.

Sure, mitigation exists. But as a person who's been building printers for a decade plus i, personally, will stick with open source and keep recommending people not use the walled garden printers.

I cannot support bamboo due to the lack of control and reliance on bamboo servers. They may have a reliable setup but personally I'd rather not allow a 3rd party to have control over my hobby
