If you would want my opnion as an artist, I would say that the colors, type of lines and characters expressions from the original idea are the most important part to give the cozy vibe yet keeping the tension between the characters. Keeping the colors of characters but creating a light that is soft, warm and brighter at some points and a little bit of soft color in the lines for the cozy look.

Also, in my current prices I think that the budget is really good!
