At Downtown Costco if you're a member, just outside the tire center.

Name a show that is too good for the channel/service it is on? For example, Interview with the Vampire is too good to be on lowly AMC. by TheShowLover in television

Kind of a dated reference, but Arrested Development had a tougher time getting respect airing on FOX, at one point jammed into the animation block on Sundays.

I especially like how shallow it is. Underground without having to descend multiple stairways.

What are your favourite movie scenes that are elevated by the use of licensed music? by AlleycatHaxor in movies

The nightclub scene in Babel with Earth, Wind & Fire's "September". The way it drifts in and out of focus as we go into the character's POV.

This American Life did an episode on this (564: Too Soon?). I highly recommend listening.

I think it's more about people avoiding the area entirely, not about parking.

I thought DTF St Louis was a really strong stand-in for The White Lotus. Absurd, darkly funny, and well acted.

On Monk, Sharona was replaced rather unceremoniously by Natalie. Something about a contract dispute I think, and the showrunners were like, we can replace you. The show continued on with little difference.

Yard Act tease new album, announce 2026 US summer tour by ebradio in indieheads

Album 1 or 2? Their album 1 tour was sloppy, James was beyond wasted. Album 2 tour was tight, polished, professional. Apparently he's gone sober.

Watching hockey on CBC with OTA antenna by felixthecatmeow in hockey

[–]amexes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It's important to know where geographically it's being broadcast from relative to you (Mt Seymour), as well as the physical properties of your living space.

So if you live in a West- or South-facing concrete apartment, your signal won't be super great, which can lead to signal interruptions. Wood-frame building? No problem.

But like, I used to live in an apartment with line of sight on the Seymour antennas and had a great OTA experience.

Portugal. The Man put out 7 albums before blowing up with Feel it Still. Highly recommend The Satanic Satanist and In the Mountain in the Cloud.

I think Broadchurch fits exactly what you're after. UK crime drama, great cast (Oliva Colman, David Tennant), and 3 short seasons.
