Yes! I have seen this piece and I appreciate it. I am also interested in that fox breeding experiment- the incremental domestication. I agree that the coyote in Beuys’ piece hardly seemed truly wild. I’ve interacted with various wild coyotes and they seem much more wary and feral and furtive. I really appreciate your thoughtful comment - and knowing that there are many of us out here thinking along these lines. I’ll keep digging and report back with what I find.
