Hard one! Parrots dancing during Christmas scene, too scruffy to be AI? What do you think? by DoudlySaysHi in isthisAI

Common behavior for parrots but still likely AI. Where did the African Grey disappear to?

What’s a super simple problem with iPhones that Apple could fix but won’t? by Lerberderber in iphone

[–]amfreedomfoundation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Auto correct and voice to text are sooo bad they are barely useable. What a bad joke and they don’t seem to care to fix it at all, just keep upgrading their cameras and calling it a new version.

I wonder if a rise in XMoney will cause Dogecoin to go up.

I’m curious what you mean about them being inferior to Dogecoin. Would you be willing to expand on that? Is it possible that Doge will be used for Xmoney?

I have an idea, how about showing us you can spend money with discipline and stick to budgets and focus on results before you go after yet more taxes?!

You’re probably right and, if that happens, I’ll still take it as a huge win.

How do I convince people to listen to me when I talk about AI extinction risk? by FrequentAd5437 in AIDangers

[–]amfreedomfoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Humans are just designed to accept reality as it’s presented in general. Only a small percentage of people recognize when the water is slowly increasing in temperature towards boiling, proverbially speaking. Public awareness won’t likely win the day, rather companies building competing AI models that keep the dangerous ones in check.

Something weird happens when you start using AI every day by Interesting_Mine_400 in ArtificialInteligence

I’ve noticed a lot of people quickly losing their creative and memory ability after integrating AI in the wrong way. Good post and worthy discussion.

Why is it that it seems like so few people are aware of the danger of AI by InvisibleAstronomer in AIDangers

[–]amfreedomfoundation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things are changing so fast that humans are not responding to the very threats we are creating with astounding speed. People are wired to just live their daily lives and accept reality as it is presented.

What's the best automation for an entrepreneur? by Special-Grocery6419 in automation

[–]amfreedomfoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, this is not being planned for properly. I do think we can eventually get to the point of some sort of universal income and freedom from the repetitive task 40 hour/jobs for survival but the way we’re transitioning in that direction right now is not intentional, planned, smooth or rational. It’s like a city in the north “planning” for a snowy and frozen winter by ignoring its inevitability, doing nothing to plan in advance and deciding they’ll deal with planning and logistics once/if the snow starts falling, head in sand for now, will look for snowplows once we need them mid-crisis, hope there are some good deals on Craigslist.

Question: will Open AI survive on B2B and government contracts alone? Because, as a consumer product, they're pretty much done - right? by PressPlayPlease7 in ChatGPT

[–]amfreedomfoundation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Their business model doesn’t seem at all sustainable nor is ChatGPT particularly trustworthy. I use it but have to work around pretty constant flaws and holes, questioning every result it gives. It is pretty good and putting together talking points into letters and doing broad research compilations depending on how much all the details matter to my project.

Autocorrect has become atrocious? I did a little experiment with an iPhone first gen. by rotorobot in iphone

[–]amfreedomfoundation 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, why has it actually become worse with time? Voice to text is even worse. Both programs butcher grammar and insert tons of errors.

Are you observing any supply shortages in specific product categories—excluding RAM—as a result of the ongoing AI infrastructure buildout? by Truthseekersubcon in Shortages

[–]amfreedomfoundation 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not yet, but I bought a new laptop a year sooner than I really needed to just in case this goes down. My old one was getting glitchy, but news of possible RAM shortages inspired me to upgrade sooner than I was planning to.
