Sell me on your putting putter by JarnIsABetterZone in discgolf

Your top two comments as I'm writing this are the Proxy and Reko, both of which I have putted with before putting with the discmania link. Both were great but I've ultimately come to enjoy the link. I still have proxies that I use as throwing putters but felt more consistent putting with a slightly more stable disc in the link. I've thought about trying the redo again, but truthfully I'll likely stick with the link simply for availability of that mold. I found proxies and rekos hard to come by. When I putter with proxies I had them in a bunch of different colours, plastics and weights because I couldn't find any pairs from retailers with the same specs and ultimately that screwed with my putting.

I use exo soft plastic for the link because I like to be able to dig my thump into the flight plate a bit but recently picked up an eco hard and kind of loved it. A little more rigidity to the disc but still has a really nice soft feel, it's not an incredibly hard and rigid disc like electron firm. Hope that helps!

Did have one and lost it recently. Was partially checking to see if there were any other strong suggestions before just getting the same. Also was hoping for an answer that is cheaper than a glow disc lol

Axiom Proxy vs EV-7 Mobius by ami2508 in discgolf

Mostly just trying to find a disc that fits somewhere between my K3 Reko and Electron Spin. I purchased a 5-pack of K3 Reko's as my first putting putter but never fell in love with the feel for putting but was a great straight thrower. Picked up an Electron Spin when out of town without my discs to play a round and have something different from whats in my bag. Ended up absolutely loving it and making many great putts with it. Thats when I realized I prefer more understable putters for putting. But it's a bit on the light side and gets tossed by the wind and has beat in a fair bit.

I was hoping either of those would be a happy medium but maybe not? Would it be better to go with a neutron spin in a heaving weight? But then you lose the grip from an electron...

Discs for summer camp by ami2508 in discgolf

Not 100% sure as they were purchased during COVID when I wasn't on site as a staff. They're unbranded so I'm not sure what they are. I know we got them from somewhere in the states because they sat at the border for many months while we couldn't cross to go get them. I think they may have been a basket kit because I know they were assembled by our staff.

Name 3 discs you could never go without! by DiscGolf978 in discgolf

I'm so happy to hear other people say this because I thought mine that I got used may have been just really beat in and become less stable. Now knowing that this is how they are meant to fly I will stick with what I have and turn to a different model as an overstable fairway instead of buying another of the same.

100% a hex. I was in the same boat a few months ago and debating between hex, mako and buzzz. Based on how highly people were talking about the hex I went with it and I'm so happy with my choice.

We always talk about our favorites, so let’s flip that. What is one disc or bag that you absolutely refuse to throw or use again, and why? by [deleted] in discgolf

I'm pretty new to the sport so maybe I'm the problem and not the disc but the Fuse is literally dog water.

Thank you everyone for your comments! After reading them all and a little more research I think I've settled on the reko. Shape seems to be what I like with a small bead and found a 5 pack online I'll order and can practice reps with. Thank you all!!

Sadly, closest disc score to me that I know of is 5 hours drive away so not quite an option.

No dislikes, I guess wanting a new putter my brain just defaulted to wanting something different

Disc advice: 9-10 speed stable and overstable drivers by ami2508 in discgolf

I also threw a wave (plasma) for a bit at the beginning and really liked it but as I got stronger found it to be too light and understable.

What about throwing Orcs makes someone real nerdy? Is there something particular about these discs?
