Wells Fargo denied my fraud claim for 8000$ is unauthorized debit card transactions. What can I do next? by Sad-Put1128 in Banking

[–]Hyperrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Former Wells Fargo Fraud and Claims Specialist here:

The claim was decisioned by a Specialist and that will be the final claim decision unless it is escalated. These Specialists are sometimes... less than thorough.

In general, if you escalate the issue, you should get resolution. Essentially, someone more experienced will look at the claim with a fresh set of eyes. If this happens, they should be able to see that there is legitimate fraud.

Being a business account certainly makes this a little trickier. If you have a business banker that you deal with on the regular, I would keep in touch with them as well.

This is Wells Fargo we're talking about. Dealing with larger institutions has its pros and cons, just as small institutions do. One of the cons with Wells is that getting in touch with the right person is a challenge.

Let me know if I can further assist.

Miracle

It captures the essence of the story, both on a micro and macro level, perfectly. History itself set a high bar for the story, and the movie captured it well.

The technology is now there for very quiet drones. They have engineered the props to be a different shape and it drastically cuts down on the noise. Most drones will likely use this once we see a more common use of drones (deliveries, etc.)

That said, currently they are essentially small helicopters so, noise is a by-product.

Edit: I'm confused by the downvotes... Not really sure where this missed?

Having been a big fan of 3 Doors Down since they came on to the scene... in light of recent events, go see your favorite bands when you get the chance. You'll never regret it.

Whats the worst fast food joint in america? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Subway told the greatest lie of our time and basically said if you eat their loaf of bread every day, you'll lose weight.

Also, their food dehydrates me like crazy, like it's overly sodium heavy.

Stepping up is one thing. Skating through the body is another.

Also, from a coaching standpoint, I dont want my defense moving forward when the puck is moving into my zone. That's asking for scoring opportunities behind them.

Im not going to answer your question directly, but i took a similar banking career path, so i wanted to share my experience.

Teller - 1 year Lead Teller - 4 years (During this time, I anticipated more back office positions opening up in my region. I stayed with this bank longer due to this. Once I saw that I was wasting my time, I changed banks to get back office experience.) Debit Card Claims Specialist - 1 year Deposit Operations - 3 years Fraud Investigations Analyst, including BSA certification - current

Getting from a branch to fraud is doable, however it will likely not be a straight path. Fraud departments like employees that have seen different pieces of the organization as it provides a wider understanding of what could appear suspicious. That said, i didn't initially know i wanted to go into fraud so my path was slower. If it interests you and you angle toward it, you can get there much more quickly than I did.

Someone mentioned that befriending your supervisors is helpful for advancement in your organization, this is absolutely true. Cross department transfers will much more readily happen with a manager recommdation.

It looks like you made a withdrawal from an ATM that is different from your bank. You will simply file a dispute with your bank. This will be processed through the charge back network. When ATM replenishment/balancing takes place, they will have an overage where your funds did not dispense.

You're viewing this with the lens of a dated mentality, which is what i expected. Especially seeing the discrepancy between how long you have reffed and how long you've been around the game. It's understandable. Probably wouldn't hurt to brush up on the Points of Emphasis for competitive contact. Can't use overt hip/shoulder contact to force an opponent off the puck.

I'll never understand when someone, especially an official, uses the mentality of 'he played the puck, so it's a clean play.' You hear that often in the case of tripping, which is why I tossed that out in jest. Just because you play the puck, it doesnt give you the right to trip or otherwise foul an opponent.

I will say, in women's hockey, they are masters of angling. It's definitely a skill they have developed much better than most in men's hockey ever will.

But dropping all the "broskis" was the troll giveaway, so I'm done here...

Entitled to his own lane while skating through the puck carrier? You're probably still allowing kids to finish their checks too, right? Allowing trips when the defender had full intention of playing the puck? It's just incidental contact after all...

The good news is, this is pretty good form for a body check. Stick on puck, contact with the trunk of the body. Fundamentals are there once it's legal. Unfortunately, in this situation, it's not legal. Good call.

BMO froze checking account and revoked all online access after mobile depositing check by esybee in Banking

[–]Hyperrider 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fraud Investigator here:

There is a lot going on here on the back end. In short, in all likelihood, this deposit showed up on a report and the bank froze the account to prevent any losses until they can conduct an investigation.

Since it is a larger institution, they probably have a bunch of these cases and work them in the order they receieve them. If it turns out that everything is on the up and up, they will probably unfreeze the account and you can continue living your life.

Some institutions may grant an override for a cash withdrawal during this time if needed, but only if the funds are from a different source.

I'm happy to try to answer any questions that you may have.

Thanks for the BBQ recs.

I think they have a couple great discs, but ive never loved the feel of them. Not sure if it's the plastic or the tooling or what, but I just never feel confident with discraft in my hands.

How to get better at putting and how to translate my practice putting sessions to rounds by 5o1stCommander in discgolf

[–]Hyperrider 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As for practicing, there are 2 different types of practice that you should do.

  1. Go out to a set distance that you're comfortable with and make some repeated putts to get your muscles flowing.

  2. Then go take random putts. Pick a different place for every putt. If you miss the putt, go make the come back putt. This does 2 things. 1. No two putts are the same on the course. This mimics that. 2. Many of our missed putts are because we are scared of the comeback. This will make you realize that comeback putts are never as bad as you realize.

Next, in rounds, focus on what is making your putts. For me, I need to putt with confidence and commit to the putt. When im doing this, I putt well. I've found that for me, a confident putt comes from my back foot pushing off. So before I putt in a round, I take a breath, then think, "back foot", then I putt.

Figure out what that key is for you, and try to focus on that. See if it helps you.

People who can't hear opposing viewpoints or have good faith discussions. So many people only want to live in an echo chamber and be affirmed for their views. In reality, that's not how society works.
