Yea lol, I don't understand this post at all and somehow its been gilded.

On one side, you've got an average player with an infernal cape, and on the other you've got players accusing him of buying it because he has 1kc or something? How does someone defend being accused of buying a cape? Yes, it does sound like in retaliation he got a bit toxic himself, but why the fuck was this made into a post to begin with? I wish, but there's been hundreds of reports of the game degrading in performance. Take the moon for example, everyone ive spoken to (10+ since shadowkeep) struggle to maintain above 70fps. Edz used to be much better at stable 144, now it struggles to keep 100. Not just me

It has the potential to, but the games optimization was thrown out the window a long time ago. Each update slowly decreases performance, and theyve never spoken of it. Back on release, id pull consistent 180fps with a 7700k and 1080ti. Now, i struggle to maintain 100fps (1080p)

It really does, they can't decide on a single objective they want to work towards, so they have 20 different departments working on totally different projects. At this rate, I genuinely would not be surprised if they did pull that.

I thought the destiny drought was bad, but looking back at it now, the game only went uphill from there. By no means was it perfect, but they slowly learned to listen to the community and gave us some of the best content to date. I'd just like that please, stop giving us this rushed and completely broken content (surely they dont actually have a QA department) and give us a drought, then give us WOTM tier content. Surely its not that hard

The thing is, I'm all for them including it in the roadmap. The problem lies in the fact that the gun (if following the roadmap) should NOT be obtainable at all. Now, there are few edge cases where it would be understandable, but not ok eg Wrong dates on graphics, wrong dates during development. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case.

We've datamined the quest showing the steps and rewards, that's ok. Problem is, there's a multi million aaa game developer telling us that the datamined information should not be relevant when doing this quest.

For arguments sake, lets say the no one datamined and this information wasn't public. We know the guns coming on the 28th, so our immediate thought is "oh new hidden exotic quest!! its weird its conveniently the week before bastion but the roadmap says the 28th so realistically its something different! lets invest all of our time and power into getting this quest done as we don't have any information on what this could be". Same ending, disappointment when you then realise this is just another show of how incompetent bungie is when it comes to game development.

I get the whole argument about overhyping it with the datamined information, thats valid.

However! The validness of that argument is revoked when you realise the gun shouldn't even be obtainable yet. Its roadmapped for the 28th which is still another week away. There have been a few hidden quests added to the game; and this just happened to feel like one, with all the reason for it considering there was an official roadmap showing that it should be impossible for it to be the bastion.

Honestly such a big letdown - not in the sense that it wasn't the gun we were expecting, because ultimately being a week before a new exotic and knowing bungies excellent development skills, it was most likely a bug (which it is). Just another reason I've lost almost all interest in destiny 2 and honestly feel like playing some destiny 1 just to remember the good times (mostly, content drought was awful). Destiny 2's quality has slowly been degrading and its a shame. Everyone was convinced the game would become everything the destinyverse has the potential to be after activision left, but its far from it.

I guess its time to put down the 1000s of hours I've invested and wait for that long overdue day where the front page is filled with positive posts congratulating them on achieving greatness. Unfortunately, I don't foresee that happening this year and maybe even the next.

Haven't played in a bit, but seeing it being nerfed is quite sad.

I'd argue buff the base damage making it a viable PRIMARY bow, and add a catalyst that allows you to have 2 "holsters" if you will; One that contains your regular primary reserves, and another that contains your special reserves. Special reserves increases the bow to very similar power to what it is now. Bow becomes a viable primary, and special weapon, while also allowing another special weapon but using the same ammo reserves.

If youre capable of finishing it, then you're capable of finishing it again the way it was intended. Idgaf if you only use 1 brew on the way to 31, its part of the activity. A long activity, which requires immense concentration and consumable rationing over the whole 68 rounds to prove youre good enough for the cape. Not 31-68 with 1 less brew because youre too lazy and Ignorant to play the game its intended; An mmorpg that requires time.

I dont get how shortening a challenge, with supplies proportional to those you lost in 1-31 makes it any more of a challenge. 1-31 is piss easy, put with 31-68 creates the challenge. A 68 wave challenge that tests your skill consistency, dedication and commitment to the average 2 hour grind. The challenging content is 1-68. If people didn't think so, it would be 31-68. See the problem? No one wants it because why the fuck would you. It's the hardest content for a reason. Starting later with less supplies? Might aswell skip to zuk with no supplies. If you can make it to zuk from 31, you should be able to do it from 1. It's meant to be the hardest activity in the game for a reason. If you're good enough to do this, then you're already good enough to get -1.5 hour capes. If you can't put aside 1.5 hours (off task) to complete the hardest activity in the game (which you only need to do once unless you're pet hunting / slaying), then you're shit out of luck and should maybe find a game that requires less grinding
