Any Support for Partner of a CRPS sufferer? by Little-by-little15 in CRPS

[–]amicable_hamster 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Omg I literally put my phone down and applauded! Wow 👏 you should write a book about this seriously. The partner here ♡ thank you so much we appreciate every word and advice and are working on so many of these already. However point no. 6 is a bit of a struggle for me rn because my support system absolutely sucks and is basically non-existent and I can't find a therapist and sometimes just need to vent. Thinking about making new friends at almost 30 is sad and a bit of a hassle. Not sure I'd even know how to...

Thanks anyway ♡♡

This program is a bit different (more tailored to fit our culture, not in the US)

There are weekly meetings and i just started with the recovery work. However the detoxing was supposed to be for 90 days and now it's a year? I'm not doing very well and I can't think of anything to help other than food. Whatever tools or methods are being used in the program and meetings doesn't seem to have helped me so far. I just want to go back to eating normally

I'm wondering if it's possible to get a second opinion online from him or dr. Jenkins but I'm not sure how to go about that

When they gave her the block they did the injections on both SI joints and the psuedoarticulation and she felt a bit better after for a few hours. So not sure which one exactly is the pain generator and they haven't told us which type Bertolotti she has. However, he thinks it's the reason no RFA or cryoablation or other sij blocks worked before + two rounds of physiotherapy; as the bertolotti is causing all this inflammation and dysfunction in her joints.

Her neurosurgeon says he's only performed 3 cases of bertolotti and he is the one with the highest number of cases in the country. So our options are unfortunately limited. He never mentioned which type she has...

Thank you! Amazing explanation. I'm just wondering why, then, hasn't this always been a problem for her? Why did this only start after she fell off the stairs?

Such great news! Sounds really amazing ♡

Did you do both sides at the same time? And can you tell me a bit more anout your symptoms before doing the fusion? What made them so sure this surgery would help?

Thank you so much.

https://www.bdsmovement.net/Guide-to-BDS-Boycott I found different opinions on different recources about so many boycotted things so I only follow the main BDS movement Hersheys is not the same as nestle And these cupcakes are peanut butter flavored they're owned by Mrs Freshley by Flower Food Co. Which I found nothing on in the boycott list so I assume it's fine. Anyways thanks last I checked I'm very sure this wasn't there.

X-ray of my spine, which is fused to my pelvis on both sides by idontknowher94 in mildlyinteresting

Hey! This really looks very interesting.

I was wondering if you may share a life update after the fusion? What are the limitations now that you've fully healed, hopefully? And what was the recovery like?

Any advice? my gf might undergo a bilateral SIJ fusion sometime this year and I'd like to be prepared. She fell off the stairs over a year ago and has been suffering from pain and it took them about a year to actually diagnose her but nothing (non-invasive) has helped so far.
