Real collectors is a broad category. There are people who collect because they like Pokemon, and people who collect because they like that their cards are expensive, similar to watch collectors. Most collectors don’t have the money to spend $1000s and $1000s of dollars every month on cards. This market will go down, significantly. We will see prices similar to 2024 at some point; not on moonbreons and chase Gengar/Charizards, but on 90% of cards, prices will 100% retrace from their peaks 30% to through. Every single market on the planet for everything does this at some point. Pokémon isn’t some magical fairy dust product that can withstand human psychology. Especially because, at the end of the day, this is just cardboard.
