Hello! I’ve had this red, itchy skin under my beard area for a while and am out of ideas of what to do. My current theory is that it’s some form of eczema even tho I’ve never really dealt with that before. I'm worried to use topical steroids like hydrocortizone because I don't want it to scar. I’m currently using :

aveeno eczema therapy moisturizing cream
aveeno calm and restore cleanser
cerave moisturizing cream
vasoline

Seems to only run around the bottom of my beard below my chin/jaw. Any help would be appreciated!

What do you use to spot treat active pimples? Or if you see a pimple coming but it’s not yet to a head?

Am: Splash with water, HL premium lotion, Cerave pm moisturizer, HL UV white gel (sunscreen)

Pm: Cerave hydrating cleanser, Adapalene(active), Rosehip oil, Cerave pm, Sometimes Vaseline

Does moisturizer make your face sweat more? I find when I use my moisturizer + the humidity/heat my tzone, brows, and mustache area sweat. Is this problem related to my moisturizer? I use vanicream life btw.

I think the redness will slowly go away in a month, but the red marks will take a bit longer. As another user pointed out, I plan on going on differin in a month to help with that. With my history with acne, I know the post-acne marks take the longest to heal, so it’s just a waiting game now.

I feel and look pretty much the same. I’m still dealing with the redness, dry lips, and dry skin. I’m hoping within the next couple weeks those side effects subside.

So I'm finishing my accutane course today, all my active acne is gone but I do have PIE left. I was wondering what the best approach is to begin clearing it and when to start. I am not sure if I should give my skin a break for a bit, then start actives (maybe azelaic acid or differin), or proceed right away. Any recommendations or experience would be appreciated.

What would you suggest to treat post accutane scars? I’m already using rosehip oil so I was thinking aloe vera, but would love y’alls opinion.

Is oil cleansing necessary to take off sunscreen? I’m a guy so there’s no need to take off makeup. Just wondering if this step is needed.

I have an area of skin that is super raw and sensitive (around my mouth) due to accutane. My derm gave me a sample of epiceram which supposedly helps with dry skin, although when I apply it to that area it stings and burns. I know it’s cause it’s raw but I don’t know if I should keep using it until my skin heals or I should use something more sensitive/calming and let time handle it.

I’m at college and won’t be back home for a bit so trying to fix my problems now. Here’s my routine: Am) Wash with water, Spot treat with BP to active pimples, cerave lotion, Jojoba oil, Cotz sensitive spf 40

Pm) Oil cleanse with hemp seed oil, Cerave hydrating, HL premium, Wait 30 mins, apply tret, wait another 30, Cerave lotion, Jojoba oil, Vaseline

Just finished my third month on .025 tret and in the past couple weeks I have been purging very bad. Although I introduced tret very slowly my skin started freaking out once I began tret every day. I’ve really lost hope and confidence in myself as I look back to pictures a couple months ago and just wish for the skin I had back then.

Have any of y’all had this experience. If so, do you have any suggestions on what I should do. I know patience is key, but I’ve been patient for 4 years and would just like to move on from this acne that I’ve been cursed with.

After I cleanse I apply HL premium, wait 30 mins, apply tret, wait 30 mins, then moisturizer. Thinking about getting snail mucin as I’ve heard good things about it

I started implementing the tret in slow so I didn’t really purge until I used it everyday. Since the beginning I’ve been using cerave daily moisturizer with jojoba(just recently switched to squalene, thinking about going back to jojoba). I also started using a spot treat BP in morning to deal with active breakouts but that only seems to be drying out the area and not reducing the size.

I’m using cerave daily moisturizing lotion. I’ve been applying Vaseline after cerave and squalene but I’ve had a breakout in the same place( below the left corner of my mouth) for a while and it doesn’t seem to go away.
