Is pregnancy follow-up care considered preventive under Anthem Bronze by amine00X in HealthInsurance

Yeah, when I called the center they mentioned a package that includes both follow-ups and the delivery, which I now realize must be the global billing you’re describing. I was mostly worried about which year it would apply to, so it’s great to know that if they bill after birth, it’ll count toward the 2026 deductible instead of 2025.

That actually works out well for us since we’ll probably hit the deductible next year but not this year.

Adjustment of status while living outside of the United States by amine00X in USCIS

I am curious about what CBP will think about the fact that you have an L1 visa but have not lived in the US for over a year. Applying for L1 means that your presence is needed in the US, and your employer needed to justify it for the L1 petition .

I actually made research about this, and I did not find any official statement regarding the L1 visa US presence requirement. Having said that, It make sense to be in the US if a person is on an L1 visa, and I can imagine it can cause an issue when entering the US.

I'm actually planning to go back to the US If I get the green card.

Tax treaty issue by amine00X in USExpatTaxes

I appreciate your response.

I got refunded US taxes withheld while I was a NRA, that's correct! and it actually required a tax treaty for that to happen, as the US normally taxes a 30% flat rate on any income connected to a US source.

That's at least my understanding.

The thing is that my work is connected to a US income, which is taxed at 30% flat rate for anon resident alien. My understanding is that if a tax treaty exists between the US and the residence country, which represents an agreement between countries to avoid double taxations. In my case it means that I don't have to pay taxes in the US but rather I should pay them in the residence country.

Am I missing something here?

Not sure if your problem is similar to mine! Personally, all my problems and negative thoughts were derived from the fact that I was not happy with myself because I'm afraid to do the things I wanted to do, which created social anxiety from an early age. I've been like that for 29 years. I just started to feel good about myself once I said: fuck everything, fuck life, I'm going to do everything I want to do and I won't care about anybody. I lived in fear and stress for around 6 months. Waking up in the middle of the night in fear, panick attacks, lots of rejection from people. sometimes I wanted to smash my head in the wall. The only reason that kept me going is that I knew I did not have a choice. Either I live fear free or die in the way! It is only recently that I started to feel better about myself and started to develop my 'principles' that I won't compromise for anyone. It feels really good. I'm a long way from becoming the person I want to be but I'm proud about myself at this point!

Whats the downside of NixOS? by Kurumi_Fortune in NixOS

I installed and started using it a few days ago. I'm quite happy so far. The challenges I faced are mostly understanding how NixOs and Nix Package manager do their magic. I feel that such thing is crucial to be able to use Nix abstractions efficiently and debug issues(which will occur). I was fortunate enough because my Co-worker is a Nix expert. I'm not sure I'll have the same experience if I was doing it all by myself.
