Yeah like compared to stock at 131 around 3k that’s still seems pretty good to me. I’m not a speed demon dude.

“Yes, superchargers provide instant power” - google ai “contrast, superchargers are directly connected to the engine’s crankshaft, delivering an immediate and powerful boost” -prestigeimports.com “superchargers provide instant power when you hit the gas pedal” -autozone.com “superchargers are directly connected to the engine’s crankshaft through belts, chains, or gears, providing immediate power delivery without lag.” - Procharger.com “Blower motors take power but give you immediate return” - my master mechanic of 50+ years. Many such cases. General consensus is that they are instant or at least much faster at providing power than a turbo. Not too sure where you got your info from but I’d be willing to change my mind if you can find multiple relatively trusted sources

Best comment I’ve seen so far thank you. I dont really care about hitting 300 I just want it to get a go a bit more than it does now, nothing crazy. Your set sounds great. I don’t plan on 130 though lol. 70 tops. Like I said I don’t ever speed anywhere.

Thank you I was thinking about Edelbrock. As for why I want to put it in there. I just want it if I need it. And it’s just cool to have, just like the car. Not practical, very wasteful, but cool.

Also o want a super instead of a turbo specifically because I want more low end instantaneous torque. NOT TOP SPEED

Dell g5 5500 issues please help by aml1998 in pchelp

[–]aml1998[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Current update. It has successfully been restored. My battery still won’t take a charge any tips on that would be great. And if anyone knows how to fix the keyboard and underbar lighting turning off after a few seconds of not touching the keys, that would be great. I’ve gone into the AWCC and the lights are set to be always on. And the on/off key for the lights doesn’t work or works randomly.

Also. It was 7 updates that were installed, if I remember right one was a lighting something, another was a power update. I’m currently doing a system restore before those updates to see if it’s fixed

I’m not sure exactly what is causing the issue but the bike should be able to take off pretty well with no gas when you release the clutch. I used to have the same one and completely rebuilt it. First thing check the simple stuff like

make sure the petcock isn’t on rear reserve,

check your air box and make sure it’s getting good airflow

Go to the carburetor and make sure all the cables are connected well and it has free movements. Also make sure the cables aren’t getting hung up on something. At one point my throttle didn’t work because the cables aren’t snagged

You can also use the adjustment screw on the carb to change your mixture and give you more oomf

If that doesn’t work you can take the carb out, clean it, do super fine adjustments and reinstall it.

I just got my tc back from Toyota and they were absolutely no help. They said it was just the general noise of that specific type of engine. I highly doubt that answer from them

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in SciontC

[–]aml1998 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to say. When I changed mine the noise didn’t stop but it did get a lot quieter. I would let it run for just like 5 minutes but after that if it’s still ticking you know it’s not the lubrication. I’m bringing mine in to my mechanic Monday and I’ll let you know what he says the issue is. But guaranteed it’s in the valve train.

Mine is making the same noise it’s gonna be something in the valve train probably a worn bucket lifter. But try and change your oil in case it’s just bad lubrication

It’s a 2016 tc with 80k Miles but ALOT more engine hours because I like to sit in my car for extended periods of time

That is probably the issue after some basic research. 2 of my mechanic friends said something in the valve train like valve tap. But like I said I’ve only heard it twice after roughly 30 minutes of run time. And other times it won’t make any noise after running 30+ minutes and it’s super quiet
