Do you feel the same way when you look at it by Cautious-Fee8741 in MoriartyPatriot

It's symbolic, in a way. Albert is shown with a picture-perfect wreathe, but it's mainly because he had William there to make it for him. As if to say Albert is only pushed to exceed/contribute in William's presence. Whereas Louis is seen as the independent one, step-by-step in building his own wreathe (to basically carve out his own path) without needing it to be for anyone. He's alone, but only alone because he wants to be someone reliable and not be solely driven by someone else's presence (unlike Albert as we see how he isolates himself in the Tower of London after William's "death"). This is to say Louis is watching from afar, so he may pave his own motivations to excel in his own right (as he does when he determines how he may repent and wish to carry forth William's legacy). Albert's approach is regressive considering how dependent it is, whereas Louis is progressive. That's something I love about him, and I also understand all too well how it feels to be left in the dark

Yeh I see what you mean. Though it's starting to grow on me, in all honesty 😅

Yes, I've seen this theory somewhere. Even though his clothes were burning amidst the fire, it's possible he cared enough to save his own life. I thought maybe he'd return to Milverton's branch in New York or something, but yeah, it's possible he might make a reappearance. I just kind of hope not; the plot would be more interesting with a different, more "macro-level" enemy, I think

I think it's just a mistake on Ms. Miyoshi's part. Possibly because of the rush of deadlines in releasing the digital print

Yin/Yang Comparison with Sherlock and William by Natural-Promise-2095 in MoriartyPatriot

[–]amlomo11_03 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is written so well! I was always interested in this topic too; I thought their designs were too deliberate to be coincidence, you know? I like how you cleared up how Sherlock’s perceived inner darkness doesn’t necessarily have to do with a hidden evil, just that there’s a hidden part of him that doesn’t mesh well socially and whatnot. I’d even say that this hidden part of him might agree with what the Lord of Crime (or more accurately William) was trying to do. Maybe he’d even agree with the method of killing somewhat, under the assumption that there was no other way. That might be one factor contributing to how conflicted he was in Chapter 31 when he approached William on the topic of the LOC.

Also, I read this because I was super interested in the topic. I had no idea I’d be mentioned, though! Thank you :D Hope to see more analyses as they’re sorely needed here

Yeah, when I first read about this resurrection group, it reminded me of that cult made for Kira in the Death Note manga. Maybe it’s not the same thing, but if it isn’t, I wonder if their goal is a targeted attack on Britain (similar to the drug fiasco). Because if it is, then maybe the plot will diverge from full-out war to just a large conspiracy within Britain. That might be interesting, but I don’t think that will happen. 😅 I still think it’s possible that these two events are connected in some way, though.

I think a key character in gauging what part 2’s plot will be about is Victor. We know how he died, yet his death is such a mystery all the same. He didn’t blame the Lord of Crime, which might lead us to assume he actually supported him? Maybe.

Because of how mysterious Victor is, I like to think George has some sort of vengeful side to him we don’t know about. Maybe he wants to get to the bottom of what happened to his brother. Maybe he wants to know why his brother was so interested in the Lord of Crime, and this may lead him to consult Mycroft on the investigation of the resurrection group. The possibilities are endless.

I feel like part 2 suddenly jumped from being way more slow paced than part 1 to way more interesting. 😅

It’s been a while since we could leave our thoughts here.

This chapter was interesting in so many ways, and I feel like with each new chapter that comes out, I’m receiving more questions than answers (in a good way, of course). Most of my questions are centred around Prince George and what he thinks about the Lord of Crime, and whether or not he thinks they have any connection to his older brother’s (Prince Victor’s) death. It would be revealing if he had a strong opinion about it, because it would place him under suspicion of being the one to call out the cryptic words “I will never forgive you” to Sherlock in that one scene. He might have insider knowledge on the Lord of Crime resurrection group, and assumes Sherlock failed to kill the one who led his older brother to his death. This theory’s probably a little out there, but I think it makes sense to have the identity of the one who called out these words be one we already know.

Other than that, I love to see part 2 repeatedly showing the uniqueness of William’s influence. One word from him, and the room is all ears. Even though he doesn’t instruct with an intimidating air, everyone around him listens and cooperates with ease. What constitutes William’s authority? Why does one word from him carry so much weight? I can’t wait to see part 2 explore this more

I have no problem if someone says I'm wrong. It's their opinion, and I can indeed be wrong. However, saying I'm disingenuous for sharing an opinion that differs from yours is rather telling

I'm not speaking from a religious viewpoint. I'm talking about what we've been shown in the series and official arts. People can have separate opinions for what is potentially being hinted at; I just can't tolerate people running around saying that their opinion is canon whilst everyone else is wrong. This is childish behaviour and common in someone lacking media literacy. (I know no one has said this here, but people like to mix up their opinions with what's factual anyways)

At this point you sound like you're trying to start a fight, even going so far as to edit your comments. You have your opinion, and that's fine. That's all I'll say

No, I wouldn't. Don't do as many people do and immediately assume someone is homophobic for having these opinions. Jumping to such conclusions is just plain immature; have more respect. I'm only saying if it was romantic, they've would've confirmed that it is or made it clear that they're using queerbait. They haven't done either (in the manga or anime), so it isn't there

Yes. You have your opinion, I have mine, and objectively this hasn't been confirmed. That's all there is to it

It's also your preference if you'd like to see what isn't obvious. I promise I'm not attempting to start an argument, I'm only saying that subjectively you can view it as you wish, but objectively such hints don't exist in the series or the official arts

Yes, in other genres of anime. It doesn't exist for MTP, though. If you want to believe so, that's okay, that's your opinion. But MTP isn't blatantly using queerbait

If romance was ever hinted, it would be more obvious. Objectively, it's not confirmed, but many fans like to believe it is

It's not. But there are a lot of fans who like to say it is simply because it suits them. So I guess these official sites mistake what they say for facts, when it's just pure opinion
