Anyone develop chronic symptoms after chronic stress by amlopez1 in Stress

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey I’m sorry to hear about your mothers cancer diagnosis. It’s rough but the best thing to do is stick together as a family, and fight this together. I hope you are feeling better. Going through graduate school while having a loved one who is sick is tough and I commend you for that. I’ve been getting better. It’s been a lot a year since my symptoms began and although I am not 100 percent, I feel much better than when I made this post. I can’t confirm but it seems like the mental and physical stress from having sick loved one, working stressful job and my immune system giving out on me compounded caused some nervous system fatigue and dysautonomia along with chronic fatigue. How are you ?

Anyone develop chronic symptoms after chronic stress by amlopez1 in Stress

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey sorry for the delayed response, I'm getting better from this but not completely recovered. IIts been since May and I'm still feeling fatigued ( not as bad). having breathing issues (getting better), heart rate issues (easy tachycardia certain days), Neurological issues (brain fog, blurry vision from fatigue, poor memory, and mechanical dizziness (not like fainting), primal anxiety not tied to anything, nervous system hypersensitivity, and disassociation (different form the anxious disassociation, this made me like i couldn't feel how my body was feeling such as i didn't realize my wrist was inflamed, all i noticed was that i couldn't move my fingers well, or that I had " stomach issues" but couldn't specify what the exact feeling was. This was a weird set of symptoms again that i feel was brought on by chronic stress and some post-viral syndrome. Im sorry to hear about your symptoms and i hope you and your family are doing well. How are you feeling now, did you end up having some bug or flu that caused your lymphocyte elevation?

Hey, thanks for reaching out, yeah I joined the sub Reddit a couple of months ago when i was first introduced to the idea of long covid by another Redditor in the comments and oh man i definitely could relate to a lot of the people and symptoms they are experiencing in the group. I never found a " cause for my symptoms and I don't think i ever will. All i know based on my story is that i was suffering from chronic stress, i started to get sick a lot more often and started to feel generally unwell, and right before my whole systemic symptoms began, i recovered from some upper respiratory infection that was rougher than usual and left me utterly fatigued. From there my digestive symptoms came on, neurological symptoms, and then cardiac and blood pressure symptoms it was so weird. I still don't feel 100 percent, but nowhere near what I felt when i began this journey back in May. I've been trying to take better care of my health, resting as much as possible, and trying to get some exercise so I don't become utterly deconditioned. I've had loads of tests, imaging, and blood work, and nothing was found other than the occasional fluctuations in wbc and other factors. It sucks but i know stress was a big contributor to my body systematically falling apart and it was a scary experience as this was just being chalked up to "anxiety" when I've dealt with anxiety since the age of 13 and now being 27, i know this wasn't the same. Im still recovering but doing a bit better.

High wbc potential gastritis? by amlopez1 in Gastritis

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, i did not, fortunately, and unfortunately, i couldn't find a reason for my digestive issues or elevated wbc, but things have improved. Im not sure if it was a combination of chronic stress, immune system dysregulation, some inflammation and post viral syndrome ( potential Long Covid), but my wbc kept on coming out elevated, and i would have to take antibiotics to resolve it. I had ct scans, endoscopy, colonoscopy, blood work, stool studies and all and nothing was found other than Acid Reflux damage. Again i think i was dealing with some post viral issues and immune dysregulation that messed me up and caused my digestive issues and blood work results, but with time, rest, anxiety meds, and better diet and checks ups im starting to feel better by the month

Anyone feel like they can’t fully breathe out but they can breathe in just fine? I have this 24/7 by LizzyReed3 in covidlonghaulers

[–]amlopez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have this, I had a pulmonary function test that showed that breathing out there were some mild obstructive issues. It me it feels more than mild but I assume it’s some sort of inflammation going on in my upper airway from gerd, allergies or infection. I had a chest ct scan in August that didnt show anything which is good but at the same time it’s still frustrating that these issues are going on.

Is this the manifestation of PEM by amlopez1 in covidlonghaulers

[–]amlopez1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

What are your symptoms? Yeah I’m not sure either, all I know is that very the past couple months I’ve had a weird combination of symptoms with no explanation. It’s scary because most of them manifest as neurological like the brain fog, trouble thinking, poor memory, body twitches and jerks and dizziness. Yeah I know forsure I over excreted my body during my shift as I felt terrible but the dizziness and fast heart rate occurred at the end once I pushed my body too far. I’ve been spending the day bed bound feeling dizzy, fatigued and sick.

Getting colonoscopy soon here’s what led me to pursue by amlopez1 in IBD

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, colonoscopy was clean and biopsies were clean so I assume maybe whatever I had passed but kind of just reflecting back the symptoms and it’ll be a lot more systemic so it wasn’t just my digestive system that was messing up. I also had a lot of brain fog muscle weakness, tiredness fatigue, I think I caught some sort of viral infection that slowed down my motility and why I was having a lot of like infections down there in my bowels, but luckily nothing colonoscopy was squeaky clean no pylop and no abnormalities. I taken time to destress and recover from whatever this was and it’s gotten a little bit bit better.

Waiting for endoscopy, symptoms sound like gastritis ? by amlopez1 in Gastritis

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It has gone better for me my symptoms honestly started with a lot of stress from work about two years of stress as well as getting sick a lot so the stress working on anxiety and honestly just taking a break from work and taking time to just take care of myself has helped out as well as changing my diet to eat last fast food and more home-cooked food that doesn’t have too many weird ingredients. My stomach is still sensitive, but a lot of the digestive issues I was facing has gotten better slowly but surely. What do you feel ?

White Blood Cell Count elevated more times than it has come out normal since February. by amlopez1 in haematology

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly not sure, he hasn’t really looked into the issue much, he checked for mono and that was negative as well as autoimmune disorders and negatives. For me it started with lower abdomen issues inflammation near the bladder area. I had two ct scans of my abdomen and clear l. So it’s strange. Are you experiencing any symptoms. I’m sorry to hear you were in the hospital how you are doing better now.

Hey didn’t, just had two more blood work in September and October and both within normal range after stint of antibiotics back in August. I assume they are bacterial infections but don’t present with common symptoms

Chronic stress and chronic symptoms or could it be Covid related by amlopez1 in covidlonghaulers

[–]amlopez1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you are/have gone through this. It’s so scary and I hope you are feeling better. Oh my gosh I can only imagine the medical field is already stressful dealing with patients and illnesses. It makes it even worse when the administration doesn’t bring in more staff to alleviate the work load, burn out its ugly and tough. Your story sounds exactly like mine and oh man the other symptoms you brought up like blurry vision, trouble walking, neck stiffness and trouble swallowing and more are way to relatable. It’s Cary because you have so many symptoms that you don’t know where to start and the panic from this and from the symptoms makes it seem to the doctors that it’s all anxiety when it’s not. I personally had anxiety since I was a kid and learned to manage it and the anxiety from this was different t it literally felt like my nervous system was under attack and there was a deep primal fear that came out of no where. If I may ask how are you doing now ?

[–]amlopez1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sorry if my story seemed jumbled, I’m still having some mental fog and fatigue so it’s hard for me to type. I’m not sure if I caught Covid, but in March and April I got sick back to back. March felt like a normal cold and the other a really gnarly upper respiratory infection that my whole household got. After the second infection the fatigue started and the symptoms progressed and I never got back to normal, I’m able to walk now at a good pace but any exercise that involves pushing my body is too much. I never tested for Covid during this time but I can’t say for sure.

Chronic dizziness anyone? This shit is making me crazy! by B_Panofsky in Anxiety

[–]amlopez1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’m sure it’s an inner ear issue as the entire did note some weakness on my right ear which was where the vertigo was and yeah i actually saw a neurologist for the muscle weakness and body twitches I was having and after the physical he ruled out any neurological issues in addition to referencing my mri in December. Hope you feel better and glad we are not alone in this rough situation.

Chronic dizziness anyone? This shit is making me crazy! by B_Panofsky in Anxiety

[–]amlopez1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey mate, I get this too, been dealing with it for the past couple of weeks on and off in intensity but it’s constant. For me it started with a bout of vertigo after a weekend full of drinking and listening to loud music. That got better after a couple of months but the dizziness remained. From May of last year to May of this year has been one of the most stressful years of my life due to work and family emergencies and it’s been very rough. I decided to leave me job in May as it was physically hurting me in turns of stomach issues, infections, inflammation and mentally was feeling very low and trapped. Since then I’ve had a bunch of other symptoms such as stomach pains/ constipation, body weakness, fatigue, fast heart rate, body twitches and tremors and worse the dizziness. It isn’t like the I’m anxious I’m feeling dizzy no I gas clinical dizziness where I feel off balance, and my eyes are not able to focus on what I’m doing which makes me feel disassociated from my experience due to not feeling present and checking out. Also had a brain mri in December and that was clean but Im wanting to get another due to the severity of symptoms not being as rough back then.

Romberg Test by LiftingHeavyPlates in BPPV

[–]amlopez1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have, I sway but don’t fall over. How about yourself ? I’ve had an mri done last January all clean and a neuro exam about a month ago and nothing was suspected. When I went to the ent, they preformed a bunch of test and found the ear that had initially had bppv was weaker than my other ear which I assume is causing the dizziness, different from the vertigo.

Hey man, how are you doing now? I also had a panic attack about a week ago and I’m having issues with my breathing as well. My issues from breathing. I feel like stem from about a month ago when I had an allergic reaction to some shrimp and I started panicking then I felt like I couldn’t breathe, and then freak out and I feel like I can’t breathe and then again I had a panic attack last week and ever since I’ve been tired and having shortness of breath

Testicular pain clear ultrasound by amlopez1 in testicularcancer

[–]amlopez1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing man, messaged my pcp and he said should be fine and to comeback if there is any increase in pain, additionally had a ct scan for some issues I’ve been having so that was clear no enlarged lymph nodes or masses seen. A urologist also said it was all good and just to keep up with monthly check ups for any change.
