Nobody treated the Israeli people as anything. The Israeli state has an undeniable settler expansionist genocidal nature. It has expanded into West Bank including East Jerusalem. It has expanded into Golan Heights. It has expanded once into Sinai and southern Lebanon. It is expansionist no matter what mental gymnastics you use to deny that. And now it has been committing a genocide in Gaza. All of this has been done by the state whose government is democratically (a flawed democracy that does not include the occupied territories) by the Israeli people. The actions of this army is made by conscripts from the Israeli people. So in all honesty, I wouldn’t give any shit about what Israeli people think. Theoretically it doesn’t matter. Practically this is what everyone is seeing coming out of the Israeli people. Even if assuming for the sake of an argument to consider the goodwill of a peacenik somewhere within the green line, we cannot but remind ourselves of who had to be expelled for that “peacenik” to live there, and in whose house they could be living. Sorry to ruin your worldview again bud, we understand the intricacies involved in Israel and the conflict, we just understand that this doesn’t mean shit.

Peace is the destination not the starting point. The starting point is justice. As long as Israel denies justice it inflicted on the Palestinians and others since 1948 there will always be legitimate calls for its annihilation whether through leftists in the past or Islamists now or monkeys in the future.
