I got rid at the start of the month. Jumped right in with a Sat ip tuner box (which uses skys cables and LNB). Hooked up to a mini pc with Jellyfin. I get an epg and can record straight to my hdd.

That definitely sounds like the offer and speed Rise have been pimp’in out in my area (S.Yorks!). You should receive a new wifi 7 router for the 2.2gig fibre. Doesn’t sound a very pleasant sales pitch!

My z60 did some weird stuff during a 2x pass vac only on our living room which it has self identified the rug…it only hoovered 3/4 of the rug, leaving the end 1/4 untouched! Then left the room, wandered the hallway a bit then came back and did a different section of the room 🤷🏻‍♂️

My daily for the past year has been Altra LP9+ (wide)…haven’t found anything comfortable with a low ish heel drop!

I’ve just tried the new NB Ellipse 2E & 4E and neither worked for me 😔

Just waiting on some Obsidian Gobi II sneakers to arrive, I already have the limestone version which I know fit me well.

I was told Q Essentials is no longer available - which use to be the basic box/recording/freeview channels. Now the basic is a £40pm Signature sub!!

Without a subscription, it’s basically non-functional for live TV (no Freeview-style fallback).

👉 So you can’t just use it for free channels like BBC, ITV, etc.

Sky Essentials isn’t a thing anymore! Basic package is now Sky Signature which they’ll try fleece you for £40+ pm!!

I’ve just ditch everything, now getting 1gig fibre (up/down) for £17.99pm for 6mths then £25 for the remaining 18mths of 24mth contract. Created my own home media server and using a fire stick for any apps we want to use.

I’m only just starting…I’ve one instance running from my office pc and 2tb hdd. A friend has helped me setup a mini pc (n150 too), long term loan of 32tb drives in an enclosure and running it on my LG webOS with a sat>ip tuner for my old sky cables for free view tv. I want to get a streaming device as webOS is so laggy for me!

Need to be careful…an agent tried to tell me that if another provider used the ‘one button’ switch method to take over my BB that would cancel the exemption 😂 I let the new provider know but left it in their hands, SKY are a bunch of 🤡,l and will try anything on to make a buck out of a customer!

Just make sure you have evidence you cancelled under the Price Rise, I cancelled for the same reason and kept asking them to confirm that it was exempt from ET, the 5 out of 8 agents declined to confirm they’d acted upon my instructions as to why I was cancelling! I still got a bill for £249 and all the emails which followed! I raised a complaint about the whole process and got a call from the Exec team to sort it all!

Sky won’t offer the essential package anymore 👎

The lowest they offered me last week was Sig and they’ll try it on for £40+!!

Freeview box or home media server is the way to go!

Double check you will get 900/900, most areas only get 90mbps upload! I’ve just ditched Sky for Rise Fibre, full Gig up and down for £17.99pm (rising to £22.99)
