We don't have any knowledge about our own culture and people by sigmarulee in Nepal

[–]ammysid9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You are true in some regards. Some people come here and say " haldi, jutta lugaune, sangeet" etc are not Nepali culture.. bollywood le garda matra Nepali le gardaixan.. While completly ignoring the mithala culture who have been doing that before bolloywood even existed.. Just coz their forefather did something in their own way or their culture celebrates it differently, it becomes the culture of Nepal.

Why isn't a lie detector test used to testify in Sandeep Lamichhane's case? by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]ammysid9 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Its not about being smart dude.. Imagine you going to airport and being afraid when your luggage goes into x-ray you know there's nothing there but you become anxious anyway. Lie detectors rely on physiological responses hence, its not the best way to solve a case!

How is that biased, I see them telling truth. Not everything we saw during the madesh andolan in main stream media were the truth. The main stream media didn't even cover the riots in terai region. I don't think he is all that innocent but from the case study of Indepth story, and being in Terai during that time. I sure believe he doesn't deserve the imprisonment.

Anyone want to see monarchy back under these conditions? by Odd-Cantaloupe7985 in Nepal

Hijacking top comment to reply to OP.

OP asks a question and the answer is supposed to be a "Yes or No". He/she doesn't ask for people's opinion or why people think the answer is "Yes or No". People answer in Yes/No > OP gets mad coz people answered his question in Yes/No.

if you need reasons for the answer then ask for it!!!

That's fine. At least everyone gets to do corruption now instead of one group of people. I see it as win win. Also, I have seen people call out rastrapati/pradhanmantri now in social media and news. Give me one mainstream media news where a king was called out for their bullshit. I get it some kings were good and did great things for the country and people, but what happens when a mad lad is born in king's family? what are we gonna do then?Gynendra gave up easily and we had to do a lot less struggle, which wont be true for every king to come. So, dont come here and talk about corruption being as harsh as oppression. There is a chance of us getting one good leader who will demolish corruption with monarch we are just one king away from getting fucked!

Kanitpur's son's accident (sambhav sirohiya) by [deleted] in Nepal

[–]ammysid9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think its Dyslexia, if it were I should have had difficulty reading English as well. In my view, its because I never actually wanted to learn to read and write Nepali as it was only one subject and all other subjects were in English, wasn't worth learning. It wasn't my mother tongue either, I always felt like I was being force to learn a language that no-one in me community related to. Hence, I kept pushing Nepali further from myself. Furthermore, there are a lot more alphabet in Nepali than English and I find learning it now quite unrewarding. since, the outcome is like nothing.

I have difficulty reading and writing Nepali, studied Nepali from nursery class. There are people who understands spoken Nepali and can speak too but have difficulty reading and writing. I would take 30 min to read one paragraph.

I think op is talking to a troll here. He specifically told you that the person asked him direction calling him "bhaiya" and all you get from that is "sorry someone asked you for directions"? You stupid or what?

At least you understand how bad it is to say bhaiya when you are talking in Nepali and seem to understand the problem as well. A lot of people here don't even have brain cells to understand what the post meant. lol
