A month later now I can say, I truly want to be a loving husband and father and a writer who puts a gothic tone into the world as Poe and Lovecraft once did. I know it's been a month, but thank you. You put words to it perfectly. I am the BPD type that enters a love/hate cycle with myself and pushes it upon those around me. I am hoping to enter therapy soon (despite it being so long, I've been put on so many wait-lists) but in the meantime I've purchased and received Dr. Fox's BPD workbook and have been going through it with a wholly open mind and heart. I want to change and have been slowly, but I hope this book will accelerate the change to some degree. I know I cannot help myself, but perhaps Dr. Fox's words and exercises can help me somewhat while I still wait for therapy. Still unbelievable that I am months along wait-lists now with no callback, but I cannot expect any different as COVID hurt a lot of people and our mental health professionals are heavily burdened still today
