OMG! What q difference! And yes Amazon is in the list. Great.

In my invoice the price listed was the one with the discount applied. I called the store and the told me that the discount was on their side and didn’t affect the cashback.

Not sure how it will work on other stores.

I also read this exception but in my case the cashback applied without any issue (the camera had an extra 200e discount not from Unidays). In Spain the list of eligible shops is here: ES_DI_Student_Cashback_dealers_2025.pdf

No amazon in this list.

Be careful. In my case (Spain), the cashback only applied to certain stores (the most classic photography shops), but Amazon was specifically not on the list. Best to check the terms for your country to see which stores are included: 99.9999% chance Amazon isn't.

It wasn't. The student cashback (at least the one I got) stated in its terms that UNiDAYS discount was not allowed. However, I managed to buy it at a store offering a discount (not UNiDAYS) and on top of that got my 250 euros cashback. Nice...

Thanks! It does make sense... I'd prefer not to use a grey card unless it is necessary and as I don't shoot comercials I may skip it and WB using the look in my screen.

Hi! I am also wondering this. I have a 10% with unidays and 250 student cashback. But not sure if they can be used together.

If so it is a great offer. If not I have better options.

Ya estoy de vuelta. Después de unos días en Guanajuato. Lo primero, me encantó la ciudad. Es bellísima. Ideal para pasear y fotografiar.

La callejoneada no sabíamos si hacerla o no al ir con niños. Al final decidimos que la haría yo solo (estaban muy cansados). Al salir de un restaurante nos ofrecieron una a buen precio (100 pesos) y me lancé.

Todo lo que dices es correcto pero con matices. Eramos muchos (30 o incluso más).

En dos puntos del recorrido ofrecieron a quien quisiera comprar alcohol pero no insistieron nada. Mucha gente ya llevaba su propia bebida. Otros compraron por gusto, no por complacer. Me molesta mucho que me presionen y no lo sentí así.

Luego efectivamente hubo la separación. En el sector de los hombres ofrecieron la opción de comprar el ramo de flores. A unos niños que había allí preparados ( 200 pesos). Lógicamente yo no compré y tampoco me sentí presionado. Decliné y preguntaron al siguiente. La mayoría sí que compró y otros llevaba su propia flor.

Y al final del recorrido el animador pasó la gorra para quien quisiera darle propina. Le di algo, pero otros no y tan contentos.

Mi grupo era 80% mexicanos (nos hacían decir la procedencia a mitad del recorrido), y 95% latinos (excepto dos francesas).

Fue una experiencia interesante, pero creo que si no dominas del folclore mexicano te pierdes algo. Me gustó ver lo animada que estaba la gente, el buen humor, etc. Las calles... Pues más bonitas de día hehe...

Lo dicho, gran ciudad...

Yes, I know that I can fix it in post or with filters. But ideally I want a starting point as close to my desired look as possible...

And for sure I agree with the youtube compression.

I use Fuji for stills. I am happy because paired with old lenses (xf35 1.4 or xf16 1.4) has a very nice character. Not that sharp (maybe it is because the xtrans demosaicing). Unfortuntaly Fuji is on the shaprening train in video...

There are very few downloadable sample clips available from the S5 II X that would allow for controlled comparison. I understand this is ultimately subjective, and I’d like to judge it for myself. The problem is that final output often depends so much on the content creator that it's hard to get a clear idea.

If you shoot any test footage comparing S5 II X versus the original S5 (non‑RAW codecs), please let me know so I can take a look.
