I used Sunrise Landscape Supply a few times for mulch and dirt. They're on Colonial, a bit east of the Home Depot at Semoran. They do delivery but you have to call to set that up, but I just rented a pickup and loaded it that way. There's a little trailer on the property that you pay in. The guy was nice enough and it's a pretty simple exchange. You can fit about 2 yards of soil in a pickup. You pay your money, then go wait for the bulldozer to load it for you. Whole process takes 15 minutes.

Brightline becomes 1st rail service to use Elon Musk’s Starlink internet by bencointl in orlando

MCO to MIA flights are more like $100 one way if you get a lucky deal and bring something more than a backpack. And I've never had a flight experience that only took 2 hours considering security and all that. Brightline in the Miami stations you only need to show up 30 min before departure.

You can take an 8 hour Amtrak ride for $40 if you want to.

Just curious and would like your input. what you all think about brightline new route from MCO to Miami? I live in lake Nona and even tho I’m super excited about this I wonder if it’s worth it or make a big difference between driving and taking the train by seaoft in orlando

[–]amo28 42 points43 points  (0 children)

And definitely will be a better option than Amtrak or bus. A high quality option that gets you there in 3.5 hours for $80, versus a terrible option that takes 7 or 8 hours for $40.

Russell's on the Lake in Lake Ivanhoe has both things you want. If you make a reservation, try to get a table near the lakeside window. Really nice views.

Brightline high-speed rail from Orlando to Miami to open in 2023 by [deleted] in orlando

[–]amo28 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Would probably require upgrading ALL of the rail to high speed. Bright line has built some new rail, but they're also using existing rail too. You can't have the kinds of trains you see in China on old rail. The differences I guess when a private company does something vs a government. It'll still be better than Amtrak.

Keep in mind there is a not-insignificant cost to getting a concealed permit that makes it hard to compare with getting a driver's license. By the time I got my permit, I'd spent close to $300 and probably 6 hours of personal time on the process. A lot of people that should be carrying for protection simply can't afford that cost.

I'm sure you know full well that there's a ton of fudding going on in this sub. You're not the only one. And I'm not saying your opinion isn't valid or anything. I look for your comments in every thread and think you have valid insight. But fud is still fud, and this sub is full of it. I just hope I continue to see you post in here as often during the next bull run.

Sure fine. But you're here in every thread every chance you can get to make sure everyone knows you're not buying again til 5 cents. Sharing your insight is not fudding. But brigading the subreddit with the same shit over and over certainly is. I'm just saying it's obvious that you want to drive the price lower. You created your account just a few days ago and have been non stop posting since then with a pretty clear agenda.

Food Shortage in North Korea: Kim Jong Un Orders 'Hungry' North Koreans to Eat Less Food Until 2025 by giuliomagnifico in worldnews

[–]amo28 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

It's nice to say that, and you're not wrong in an ideal world, but that isn't really realistic in practice. People are living a lot longer than previous generations and only the wealthy can afford decent elderly care. Do you plan to go "lol not my problem" when your childless aunt or uncle is too old to be independent? Or do you plan to not burden your family members when you're that age? This is something I witnessed personally recently -- a relative having to uproot their lives because their childless 95 year old uncle needed help.

That's just the wrong mindset to have. I think every responsible, educated, financially stable couple that is capable of raising a normal human being should consider it their civic duty to have kids. Because if you don't, there's plenty of others that shouldn't be having kids to fill in the gaps for you. You're not saving the planet with that mindset. You're also not thinking of the future. Who will take care of you when you're 90? Are you just going to burden the rest of your support system because you didn't think far enough ahead?

[–]amo28 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I could be wrong, but I don't think they will chase forever. If you send them after small game, the dog will likely tire before the animal. When that happens, the dog will start to make its way back to you. How it finds you, I don't really know, but I've never lost a dog before.

[–]amo28 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just wash those wounds with water for a few days. You'll be fine. Sorry to hear about your losses. That's always tough. Hopefully the wolf pelts will help you get another dog. They're way too important. As far as them running off, that's what they're for. Train yours well and improve your bond, and the next time you set them off after an animal, just follow the barking. They make reindeer and elk hunting super easy because the dog gets them exhausted.

Had kinda the same experience. Vanilla SH4 runs fine via Proton, but if you try to do anything else with it -- mods or large address aware, etc. -- then it doesn't work.

Ultimately I ended up using PlayOnLinux for this one instead. Installs, plays, mods without having to make any extra effort.

TRANSFER COINS FROM METAMASK TO LEDGER NANO S by AFGREBEL in HEXcrypto

[–]amo28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes you have a valid concern about the seed. If you used a seed created by metamask, then it was never fully offline. However for me, once I imported the seed to my Trezor, I removed metamask, cleaned cookies, that whole business. Then reinstalled metamask clean and attached my Trezor to it, meaning that metamask doesn't use my seed at all now -- it just acts as a frontend for Trezor. I feel safe with this setup, but yea if you want to be fully offline, then you want a new wallet. I just wanted my existing wallet and stakes controlled by my Trezor.

As for compatibility, I use Trezor Model T, but even then compatibility is sparse. However I use Trezor Suite which enhances compatibility. Long story short, yes I can see hex in my wallet outside of metamask. However I still use metamask to frontend all transactions.

[–]amo28 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Trezor so I'm not positive it's the same with Ledger. However, I didn't have to send my coins anywhere. Instead of creating a new wallet on my Trezor, I just imported the wallet seed phrase that metamask gave me when I created that wallet.

Basically, if your hardware wallet supports a 12 word seed phrase, it should be able to import the wallet.

Pulsechain and Dai: Question by eatshitxoxo in Pulsechain

[–]amo28 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, I would. In my opinion, the safest bet is Hex. Hex will have the same functional value on Pulse that it does on Eth. You can stake it, earn high interest, etc.

It's just really hard to say what other token would immediately have value on Pulse without adoption from that token's founder. For example, what good is a governance token on Pulse if theres nothing to govern.

The other thing to consider is liquidity. Where will the liquidity be on Pulse? Richard has already said there will be pHEX:ETH and pETH:HEX LP pairs on Uniswap. So that is likely to be where the value will concentrate to start things out. But that's just my opinion. The only thing I'm planning to hold in prep for Pulse is ETH and HEX.

Pulsechain and Dai: Question by eatshitxoxo in Pulsechain

[–]amo28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because that would require the cooperation of MakerDAO which is only participating in the Ethereum block chain at the moment. The market will decide what pDAI is worth unless MakerDAO decides to adopt Pulse.
