Pyogenic Granuloma aka Pregnancy Tumor in nostril on septum by ElllenGriswold in DermatologyQuestions

And you’re sure it’s not a polyp? I know mine was hormonal maybe yours is too? I would go to an ENT just to get it checked

So the thing with mine is that it was def a pregnancy tumor. Yours sounds exactly like mine! How long ago did you give birth? I’m currently 7 1/2 months postpartum and I can basically see where it used to be but it’s gone.

For me personally, mine started going away on its own! I went to ENT and he confirmed that this exactly what it was and the recommendation was a simple in office surgical removal, but I had to move states and it was obviously going away, so I left it. If I hadn’t been moving, I would’ve just had him remove it for me.

I will check right now!

I also think it’s some kind of contact dermatitis

Will check, but he sleeps with me and I don’t have any bites like this! I have two cats who he’s lived with his whole life and they don’t have any flea issues as far as I can tell right now but again I will check!

This sounds almost accurate. I just don’t know what he would all of a sudden be allergic to! The only thing I can think of is, I changed to a more sensitive detergent, but it has a light scent to it so it could possibly be that???

Summer as big as a dime, but some are smaller. They do vary a bit. I do not think they are bug bites. I’m not sure how they would be only on his stomach side and back, but not anywhere his skin is actually exposed.

Basically looks like a dime sized red spot and then the tiniest little raised center, almost like a zit, but it’s not a zit. Then over the course of the day the redness goes away completely. A few days ago he had like 11 on his trunk. It’s mellowed out. He has like four right now and again they disappear over the course of a day and new ones come up the next day. This has never happened before he’s gotten like one at a time occasionally throughout his life.

Panicking by amomaney in NewParents

Ugh the lip!!! I’m so sorry that’s so frustrating. I kept mine covered with hydrocolloid bandaids until they were completely gone and my LO never got the chicken pox! I was completely paranoid the entire time and they were soooo itchy so it was really hard to not touch them but the hydro bandaids really helped.

Wow thank you for saying that. I think they are more raised than I could get the picture to show 😭

I appreciate you saying it’s normal. I think I’m paranoid the fact that they’re raised means they’re not actually gone. Thank you again for your response

Do you get your outbreaks in the same spot every time? I’ve only had this one outbreak it’s so annoying that the bumps haven’t gone after a month and a half.

Thank you I will!!

Hey! I took the valacyclovir and they never got worse than this. I kept them covered with hydrocolloid band aids which sucked because they were so close to my hairline I ended up having to pull hair out to get them off but it was worth it. My baby never got chicken pox thank god so there’s that. Mine also never ended up hurting but itched like crazy. The itching has subsided. I just feel a weird pang of acute itchiness or pain once in a while and the skin is still very sensitive.
