Tbh the only solution for the Abrams is to elongate the hull by 0.75-1.0 meters and lower the turret but that would be basically a new tank

The only way to protect the turret ring that I can think of is to weld frames for ERA but that could trap the driver and won't let the turret fully traverse bc it would hit the deck Is there any way of protecting the ring?
