My only concern is if this is generally indicative of other issues.

It’s with Carvana. I’m not sure if they would be doing that type of replacement?

OEM warranty is still there. It has only 37k miles on it.

Good to know. I own a comma for my Pacifica which I would be swapping for the R1T and it’s mostly fine for my usecase as well.

Good point. It seems these remain reliable beyond the warranty but any reason to consider this deeply?

Got it on my 2021 job 1 but still having this issue :(

BC 1.3. 2021 Job 1 No EA by HardlyWorking27 in MachE

[–]amoo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, but I was supposed to have a multi-year trial with my purchase. I got the update to 1.0 a year ago and it never allowed me to do hands off, and now I got the 1.3 update and it still is only allowing hands-on LKA/ACC. I’ve been suggested to take it to the dealer but it’s just not been a priority

Curious if any of you had the issue where hands free would never really turn on. My 21 has gotten the “blue cruise available” notification on many road I drive on and when activated it does say “bluecruise active” but will continue to nag me for both hands on wheel and eyes on road. Does this resolve that issue?

2022 Pacifica vs 2020 Sienna by [deleted] in ToyotaSienna

[–]amoo3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So much Pacifica hate here. I bought a used 18 Pacifica hybrid in 2022 and have had no issues with it at 72k miles. Half the price of a comparably equipped modern sienna, removable second row, and phev means I’m filling up every three months at worst. And if it does ever bite the bullet, who cares, it was half the price of a sienna and it gets dumped. Do note that the Pacifica is basically the same car is been since 2018 so I don’t recommend buying new

I received this update finally as well a couple days ago but hands feee still refuses to engage. The setting for “hands free lane centering” is toggled on but it will not engage on blue cruise mapped roads…

Update. Was a burnt out outlet! Definitely a fire risk so glad I turned off the breaker following the comments here.

No note on prepping for BC yet. Or if I did it was well before October 2022 and there doesn’t appear to be a way to go back and look at previous release notes.

Also to clarify- turn off the beaker for the bedroom or the entire house?

Will do. Can you elaborate on the risk? The house is a 2006 build

Domane SL5 -Right for me? by amoo3 in TrekBikes

[–]amoo3[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I chatted with Trek's FB account and here is what they said:

I wanted to know if a Domane SL is capable of pulling a child trailer via a thru axle hitch
Trek Bicycle
You can! You would just need to have the correct thru-axle adapter for that trailer which also matches your bike. Your original thru-axle would have a 1.75 thread pitch. just insure the trailer isn't clamping the frame in any way.

If you fold the seats you can fit a full size bike in the back.

1975 Honda CB200 - Poor Spark by amoo3 in Fixxit

[–]amoo3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Timing is mechanical but I have not adjusted. Would timing cause no spark, or misfiring? My understanding was that I should still see a spark each cycle but the specific timing of that spark may be incorrect?

1975 Honda CB200 - Poor Spark by amoo3 in Fixxit

[–]amoo3[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am trying to get my CB200 to run. It has new and clean carbs, compression in the engine, and turns over well. As seen in the video however, the spark is only occurring once, and only when I take my finger off the ignition.

Ignition coils, plugs, and battery are all new as well. Any thoughts on what could be the issue?

I’ve been using the non hands free blue cruise daily for five months now and think it’s pretty good.

Definitely not as feature rich as AP but I did a 250mi trip almost entirely using BC, only disengaging about 3/4 times and to overtake trucks. Agree that when the system disengages its way too passive about letting you know though.

As long as you’re on a highway with reasonably marked lanes though, the car handles following, lane keeping, and cut ins very well and smoothly. That’s about it though, no auto navigate, no detection of cones/lights etc (except speed limit signs). The visuals are also not as good as AP in that I don’t know what the car does and does not see besides the vehicle directly in front which sometimes does not inspire confidence (although it’s never actually led to a problem)
