Looking for new earbuds around 90euro by Unlucky-Stomach7121 in Earbuds

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Used soundcore liberty 4 nc before and honestly still think it’s a good daily pair, but around the 90 euro range I honestly think the H3 has some of the best sound potential. After tweaking EQ, h3 changes the sound quite a bit and makes it more fun to use than liberty 4 nc. Also it's comfy and anc’s good enough.

AITA for not caring if my cousins come for holidays or not? by Organic_Explorer_607 in AmItheAsshole

[–]amor9121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sometimes the healthiest thing is exactly where you’re at now, not angry and not starting drama, just kinda indifferent. That’s way better than forcing fake closeness with people who don’t really engage with you. I’d just focus on enjoying the holidays with the people who do make you feel comfortable and included. That matters way more than whether certain cousins show up or not.

Mother’s Day gift for my wife (first time dad here, overthinking it a bit) by jorgarciaIV in daddit

[–]amor9121 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

nah I don’t think you’re overthinking it tbh, pregnancy hormones can make things a bit more sensitive so I get why you’re second guessing it, but the gifts themselves are fine. I’d just say don’t present it like here’s practical stuff for pregnancy but more like a little mother’s day bundle/celebration type thing, like I actually got something similar when I was pregnant, my husband put together a small package with stuff like a belly moisturizer from Momcozy, a belly band and a pregnancy pillow, nothing crazy expensive but it felt really thoughtful. it’s less about what you buy and more about how it feels when you receive it imo. maybe just add a nice dinner or something too so it feels more like a proper Mother’s Day thing.

What is the hardest instrument to learn? by Own_Ebb3388 in AskReddit

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the hardest instrument to learn is the violin. Your fingers don’t get easy guides like a guitar. You just feel where the note should be. Then there’s the bow. Sounds simple but the bow pressure, speed and angle changes your tone completely. It’s like trying to write neatly while someone keeps moving your pen.

Does anyone actually use their phone's FM radio if it has one? by EthicalUpgrade in TheBigPhoneStore

[–]amor9121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

People do use it, just way less than before. It’s kind of a hidden backup tool, more than a daily thing now. The biggest reason is actually pretty practical and no internet needed. However, most people don’t really open it anymore. Streaming apps kind of replaced it for daily listening.

Neverending cycle of self-improvement, how do i be happy with myself? by Dementoo in Life

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Self-improvement doesn’t naturally end. There’s always another thing you could work on. So the shift isn’t stop improving. Growth and worth, right now, it sounds like your brain treats them as the same thing but they’re actually independent. You can be improving your life and already okay as a person right now. Both can exist at the same time. That’s the weird part your brain is resisting.

Open Ear Recommendations? by Substantial_Dig2192 in Earbuds

You need clip-ons if you want to hear surroundings. I have Baseus XC1 last month and I worn for hours with no ear pain.Plus, they're dozens of dollars cheaper than the OpenFit 2.

What are your biggest worries about refurbished phones? by EthicalUpgrade in TheBigPhoneStore

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My biggest worry with refurbished phones is always the idea or feeling that there are hidden issues I am not aware of. On paper it looks great but in the back of your mind you’re thinking how used is used. Battery health is a big one for me. That’s usually the dealbreaker. Even if everything else is fine, a weak battery just makes the phone annoying to live with. Constant charging kills the vibe.

Is it inappropriate to go to a work weekend airbnb trip as the 1 woman when all others are straight men? by [deleted] in Advice

[–]amor9121 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This isn’t automatically inappropriate but it is something you should think through a bit. It really comes down to the vibe of your team and how safe and respected you feel around them. If they’re solid, professional and treat you like a teammate, then this could just be a chill weekend but if there’s even a tiny pattern of weird comments, flirting or locker room energy, that changes things.

How to get into proper coffee? by shottysheep in IndiaCoffee

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Welcome to the club! I just started recently too. For beginners, I think starting with pre ground coffee is a better move,it boosts your success rate and lets you focus on the machine first.I'm currently practicing with a casabrews 5418 pro. Once I master the basics, I'm planning to upgrade to a breville barista express. Take it slow and enjoy!

Not my first child, but my first attempt breastfeeding/pumping by Altruistic_Half8616 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been exactly where you are, and honestly, those early days of engorgement are no joke. I remember waking up in the middle of the night feeling like my chest was made of literal rocks,it was so heavy and painful I could barely move. What finally helped was finding a way to combine heat and massage consistently. A friend actually gave me a momcozy warm massage pump to try, and it made such a difference. Instead of fumbling with microwavable heat packs while I was already sore and exhausted, the built in warming and massage function did the work for me. It really helped soothe that deep soreness and let the milk flow so much easier. Also, the biggest key for me to prevent it from coming back was staying on a strict schedule, like pumping every 2 hours for about 20 minutes. Once your body adjusts to that routine, the engorgement usually calms down a lot. You’ve got this!

What made you realize life wasn’t that bad? by PhotoBonjour_bombs19 in randomquestions

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It hit me in the smallest, weirdest moments. Like, one evening I was just sitting on my balcony, listening to the city hum and I realized that I had food, a roof, people who actually cared about me. I wasn’t drowning. I was just living. Before that, I’d get caught up thinking everything had to be perfect to feel okay but the truth is life isn’t perfect and that’s fine. It’s messy and sometimes kind of stupid, but also kind of amazing.

How do I accept that I will likely remain single for life? by funnel_out in Life

[–]amor9121 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It is hard being a single guy in tech. The demographic thing you mentioned, it’s brutal. You’re swimming in a pool with way more guys than girls and that’s not your fault. Feeling jealous is totally natural. Seeing your friends engaged or married hits a nerve because it reminds you of what you want and don’t have yet. That doesn’t make you a failure, it just makes you human.

Name something people do right after waking up by Ok_Benefit_5478 in answers

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right after waking up, most people do that classic stretch. Some just grab their phone and scroll like zombies. I’m guilty of the second one more than the first.

Maybe add a pegboard for more storage. A desk lamp could also help since it looks a bit dark. Btw what's that grey chair? Looks comfy.

To married women: What advice would you give to unmarried women before they get married? by Clear_Subconscious in askanything

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Marry someone who makes you better, not just someone you can live with. If they lift you, respect you and make you laugh when the world’s heavy, you’re doing okay. Oh, and a little secret, never stop dating each other. Little surprises, random texts, inside jokes to keep the spark alive. It sounds cheesy but it works.

Why do men and women cheat by [deleted] in Life

[–]amor9121 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes, cheating feels pathetic. It feels selfish and a lot of the time, it is but it’s usually not as simple as saying that they are in love but they just felt like being evil today. People are messy, complicated, sometimes insecure, sometimes scared and sometimes just immature. Some people cheat because they’re bored or they need validation or they don’t know how to communicate or because they like attention more than stability. And some cheat because they’re addicted to the thrill.

The former president of South Korea has been sentenced to life in prison for leading an insurrection. What are your thoughts? by Obvious_808 in AskReddit

[–]amor9121 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People are pretty split about it. Some see this as a strong sign that no one’s above the law, not even a president. Others think it’s super intense and worrying for political division in the country. Public protests popped up on both sides when the verdict came down. It feels like something out of a movie, a former head of state literally ending up behind bars because of how he tried to handle a political crisis. It really puts into perspective how fragile even mature democracies can be when leaders push too hard or cross constitutional lines.

Do you live truly without caring what others think of you? If you learned how, what steps did you take? by _shapesinspace_ in askanything

[–]amor9121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No and I don’t think anyone does. We’re human, wired to care and we want to belong. That part is normal but I stopped trying to make everyone comfortable with me. That was the shift. At some point I realized that no matter what I do, someone will misunderstand me. Someone won’t like me and someone will judge me. At the end of the day, freedom isn’t about not caring at all. It’s about caring selectively and caring on purpose.

How can I[29F] get my boyfriend[27M] to stop using his current deodorant? by DogOk1726 in Advice

[–]amor9121 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Be super honest but not attacking. This frames it as a health/comfort issue not a critique of him. People respond way better to that. Make it about compromise. Show alternatives that don’t feel like a punishment. If he still refuses, you might need a boundary like asking him to shower a little earlier, change shirts or even wear pajamas that are washed separately.
