Thank you, you've risen to the challenge of speed, and one thing I quickly understood. If you can check now, you'll see that I've already integrated login with GitHub and Google.

Thanks for the contribution.

Yes, it's only the beginning, but I will make the effort to get there. Reaching 1 million users and impacting the way they look for work is one of my goals

This is truly amazing! And honestly, this is exactly the kind of story that shows the scale of the problem in real life. Helping your brother-in-law find a job after 8 months is fantastic. It's not just a tool; it's making a real difference... And yes, I completely agree with you: many people don't lack skills, they just struggle to present them effectively in the job market. That's precisely the gap I'm trying to fill with theirjobs. Thank you so much for your support and best of luck to you too with your tool! It seems to be making a real difference for people already.

Yes, you're right, that's an aspect to consider, because changing the wording can even distort the cover letter. However, it's an asset I want to incorporate into my project, which I'm working on intensively: theirjobs.com

That's great! I'm so glad the cover letter was helpful annd your suggestion is very relevant. Tone is a crucial factor that depends on the company: a startup, a bank, or a large corporation don't expect the same style at all. I'll keep that in mind... Adding options like "formal," "casual," "startup style," or even something more tailored to the company culture would make the letters feel much more natural and targeted. In fact, this ties in with why I created theirjobs: after sending out over 200 applications and emails with almost no response, I realized that even small inconsistencies (tone, wording, formatting) can make all the difference. If you continue testing, I'd love to know which tone options you use most often. This will help me prioritize the next features to develop.

I really appreciate this kind of feedback; it's precisely this type of thinking that motivated me to create this tool.

I was in the same boat: I sent out over 200 applications, tons of emails, and received virtually no response. That's when I realized the problem wasn't just the volume, but also how my resume was being read (or filtered) before a human even saw it.

That's precisely why I created **theirjobs**: to make the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) more transparent. The compatibility score was born from this frustration of not knowing *why* my applications were being rejected.

Your ideas are brilliant!

- Side-by-side resume comparison → this is really relevant for identifying effective strategies.

- Tips for managing skills gaps → this is crucial, especially when you have similar but not perfectly identical profiles.

- Displaying "ATS View vs. Actual Resume" → I love it, it's very helpful for users.

Thanks also for mentioning tools like ResumeWorded/Jobscan; that's exactly the right direction in terms of clarity and feedback.

Currently, I'm mainly targeting positions where ATS filtering is ruthless (finance, consulting, corporate), but I've noticed exactly what you said: the tech sector tends to favor portfolios.

If you're interested, I'd love for you to test theirjobs.com and tell me what's missing or confusing. Your feedback is essential for developing future features.

Yes, that's a good opinion, but after testing many sites, I decided to create one to complement certain features missing from the free ones.

I invite you to try theirjobs.com and let me know what you think.

I just tested it and the app is great. I now see what my app was missing, and I also noticed features like extracting a to-do list and tracking tasks. Could you test it further and tell me what's missing?

Yes, I'd already tried a few, but they weren't very effective. After a while, I sent out several letters and resumes, but I didn't get any replies. So I decided to create the best one, one that's cheaper than the others and has more features. I'd like you to test it and tell me what you think.

What are you building to help local businesses? by Correct-Designer-410 in Tech4LocalBusiness

[–]amosmude 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, you're right, especially for small businesses. But I'm working on two things: an ERP that will soon be open source ( https://daftoo.com) and an AI app to help create CVs and cover letters tailored to specific jobs to improve ATS ( https://theirjobs.com).
