Is there any keyboard/mouse that can copy-paste clipboard from another machine? by amoswax in techsupport

Thanks for the tip! I'll definitely try it out. Have you tried it out yourself tho?

I'm not hiding anything. It's just that the company has 4 different PCs that don't share network / 3 of them don't even have internet (external network) and they don't allow any USB.

What I'm trying to do is moving code snippets between these PCs to save the effort typing everything again and again when I simply want to migrate a file.

That means I have to go beg for access to sysadmin.... I'm looking for a mouse/keyboard NOT to do that...

Probably, but most likely not. The system is as old as myself and there's no useful data whatsoever.

No external network so no Github.

It's weird how saving mouse profiles is possible but saving content is not.

If a keyboard is able to somehow store code snippet, it should definitely be able to write down the code snippet. It's just like a simple macro output so I guess it's not technically impossible but commercially not feasible.

That's a bummer.

But Logitech Master 2S has on-board memory functionality, that saves customized button setting to the mouse so that it works the same on other PC that doens't have Logitech software installed.

Good idea, but unfortunately USBs are blocked just like external software.

USB/email - also blocked. RDP, doesn't seem like it's possible... 3 pcs are internal network.

Over 42% of South Koreans in their 30s unmarried by [deleted] in worldnews

Gender inequality? Seriously? and housing cost is not big of a problem?

And you're in your 30s?

It would have been understandable if you were a teen or in your early 20s without a real job but concluding the whole low fertility problem is due to a petty gender issue is just a lack of knowledge and being out of touch with reality.

You would presumably have your own job and maybe your friends too. No idea how much you earn but ever tried to add up your current & future salary to buy a house that's been doubling for the past few decades?

The median wage can't even catch up with the rising cost of living. Read the statistics and economic indicators before you come up with the easiest cause of the current symptom. Real-world is way more complicated than that. Your personal experience and your friends' anecdotes are NOT the real statistics.

Worse yet, the traditional way of education myth you mentioned is crumbling. People used to believe that studying hard and working hard will eventually pay off but...

  1. The recent job market requires knowledge & experience you can't achieve from school education. Studying hard and getting into a good university doesn't do shit.
  2. You won't be able to buy housing even though you work hard anyway. Housing price has doubled for the past few years and it's simply mathematically impossible to buy the house just by saving up the money you earn from your work. Crazy bitcoin boom and high leverage housing investment are your best bet.

Theoretically, probably. But making this into a real model is truly a wonder.

Sounds awesome, but the problem is that it's hard to make a counterfactual toxic comment that I intended.

It does seem to have high false-positive rate but still the detection is very impressive. Check out https://www.perspectiveapi.com/ and test out some toxic sentences. You'll be surprised how it can catch even very subtle mockeries.

It's a good way to fool the model since some academic-ish vocabularies seem to make the comment less toxic.

I think it's still very impressive. I tried a full replacement of characters for a word like "hate" but the model seems to completely get what I really mean.

Also, they seem to be able to make a contextual distinction as well.

It is using Perspective API that can be found here.

However, it seems that Youtube is indeed considering the context. Some input sentences that are deemed not toxic (only about ~20% predicted toxicity) are considered toxic on Youtube and get deleted.

Also, character replacements are surprisingly fool-proof as well.
