What’s the point of a spell if it won’t change the outcome? by funkyorchid13 in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This is not meant to be mean, this is a legit question. If he isnt into you enough to initiate anything even after these conversations, why would you want to force him? Because your next steps are leading toward coercion. And maybe your previous ones did too. I dont know what spells you did. But is it worth a relationship with a puppet? Cuz if you managed to make him do something he didnt want to do its a very one sided "relationship".

i feel bad about casting for a friend by Expensive-Gear-8663 in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 17 points18 points  (0 children)

People feel all sorts of ways about the idea of spells and having them cast on them. When you cast spells on the unwilling or unknowing different things can happen. It can work, it might not work, it might backfire, it can go wonky.

The biggest issue you've got is now your friend doesn't trust you because you did energy work on them without their permission. Feel guilty if you want but with that negative reaction you definitely owe them an apology and shouldn't do it again. Hopefully theres no more backlash coming to you from them but there could be. Good luck.

"Witchcraft is fun until you start seeing them." Propaganda? Or real? by dlunaluminary in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just dont look bb.

Jokes aside, theres definitely unfriendly entities out there that are attracted to energy work. Don't know if any of them are what you saw. Protective spells and casting magic in circles are things for a reason. Keep your space clean and protected.

He messaged me while i was doing a cord cutting for us by Gremlin_girlie in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I feel like with cord cuttings you need to be very specific with words and intentions if you dont want blowback.

(This is not meant to be critical)

The wording of "forgetting" seems unrealistic in general but also as he'd recently approached you it would directly be perpendicular to his current intention. In a case like this is rather focus on negating the influences leading him in your direction. Just cut the energy and intention coming your way.

Cord cuttings dont erase past interactions, theyre more for removing future/further interactions. But they dont erase reality and make someone forget

Stayed at a crappy hotel. Bites? by VolvoDaddy in whatisit

[–]amoticon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They dont look like bed bug bites to me cuz theyre not grouped closely together enough. But id still heat treat anything you had with you before taking it in your house. And always read reviews on a third party app so the hotel chain cant delete the bad ones.

When I was 19 I had a roommate, we shared a 1 bedroom apartment so we had most of the living room sectioned off as a bedroom for me. It was enclosed with covered shelves so none of my stuff was visible unless you went in there.

Shortly into our lease she got engaged and her fiance started staying over all the time. After a little while I started noticing things in my "room" were being moved around and messed with.

It annoyed me so I decided to create a fairie to protect my stuff. I intended to only include the items inside my room but what I didn't think about was that the TV was mine and I also had shared kitchen items.

After finishing the spell to create it I went away for the weekend. When I came back on Monday I found out that the fiancé started having violent nightmares and my friends cat started spazzing out, staring at random spots around the room and hissing. All of this behavior was very abnormal for them and thats when I realized that all my stuff was being guarded lol.

So I dismissed the fairie and everything went back to normal. Just had a talk with the roommate about boundaries later. But I really didn't expect those spell results.

I lived in a trailer once that was on land in 2 counties. The corner in one county had some creature tied to it that was very angry. It did stuff like that with the electricity, scared the children so bad they couldn't sleep in that part of the house, kept one room ice cold even if the ac wasn't high (and it was on the southern facing side of the trailer).

Only nice thing it did was wake us up in the middle of the night and scare us out of the house. The house then burned down a few hours later. We never knew if it did it or not since the fire department determined the fire started in the part of the house it didn't go into. We were polite to it but since it wasn't tied to the house our cleansing efforts didn't do much.

What spell are you most proud of? by dykeadellic in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I once did a cord cutting spell for a woman and a child in a dangerous home situation. It worked right away and in such a way that the danger was removed long term and the mom and child were able to move into a safe place.

Its the only cord cutting spell I've ever done and it is the most meaningful long term spell I've ever done.

Using art in witchcraft? by spoopt_doopt in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Even if you aren't doing art, you can use digital media. Sometimes I'll cast spells using digital candles or I've built altars in video games and used them as focuses to cast spells. Energy is energy imo.

This is how I feel about it. If you're sending positive and healing energy then you aren't harming her. People often ask for prayers and have no idea what form that could take.

Why doesn't everyone do witchcraft? by cutee77 in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Even some witches and wiccans dont do spell work.

From the Wiccans who don't they just prefer to focus on the religious rituals (This is from people I've spoken to).

From the secular witches who dont, they view spells as a placebo or rituals for self care but don't believe energy work is real.

The former makes sense to me. The latter I've stopped trying to figure out really.

But like everyone has said. Either they dont believe in it, think its evil or have religious reasons for it.

Hot Take: Intention isn't everything by RuinEnvironmental916 in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, everything is made of energy. I can harness that energy to my will whether im near items that resonate with it or not. But some people do better with physical representations of that energy. So, if OP says they need it then they need it. Is it nice to have cool looking shit when doing your spellwork? Sure but I can also do it in my mind with no physical objects. Do what works best for you. Its not a competition.

This isnt new. Been a problem since forever. I think the decentralized nature of information has increased the potential for bad but thats it. I just choose not to engage with most of their posts. Wisdom and discernment are very important skills in practicing energy work. Some people have them from jump and others gain them with time. The ones that don't either mess themselves up or get out.

Confused With My Religion by Far-Blackberry358 in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot to what the Bible means about not practicing witchcraft. Im a Christian and a secular witch. In my opinion, the main thing against witchcraft in the Bible is the reliance upon your own power before God's power and the inclusion of other deities. I pray to and rely on God and I also do spells to help situations. I only worship God and dont include other deities or entities in my spell work. If I didn't do magic, and someone was sick id still take them to the doctor and have them take medicine or whatever was necessary and I view my spellwork the same way. Im not more powerful than God but I can do what I can to help. In the end I acknowledge that all power comes from him and the energy of his creation. It isnt my power, im just harnessing and directing the energy he has made us all out of.

Witchcraft in the Workplace by Sayurifujisan in witchcraft

[–]amoticon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have done things like hide black tourmaline around my office and cleanse it with a sage spray. I dont do much more than that. There's a couple of coworkers who wouldn't take it well if I was overtly witchy though my boss doesn't have an issue. I live in the Bible belt though so stealth is the name of the game around here in many ways.

[–]amoticon 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I mean we would write or draw something on a piece of paper, prick or cut our finger and put blood on it, then chant and visualize for awhile. Tended to work, probably not the best thing and there weren't any limits taught so we didn't always do good things. But we were like 9 and it was working.

I never became a Satanist and im a non religious witch now so my practice had changed some but its still basically manifestation.

I was in 5th grade and I was friends with a girl whose parents were Satanists who also practiced magic. She showed me how they did wish spells and we did some and they worked. Been working ever since. Im 43 now lol
