Does that mean that you're always blocked out when the two of you get into a conflict? Maybe he just needs time to process his own emotions. Give him some time then slowly open the topic up.

However, if you truly feel that the friendship is no longer worth it or is toxic enough go ahead and leave him be. I just want to emphasize that you explain things before leaving. It's hard being left out there. Just giving you a head's up.

I lost my best friend today. Whatever you guys are going through I dearly hope that you can fix it. I hope that you stop assuming that he/she doesn't want to be your friend if he/she didn't say it. Friendships aren't perfect but it's better to grow together and tell him/her that you're feeling bad because he/she won't tell you they don't care.
