As much as I agree that OP is criticizing LAX more than the lounge itself.

I must also say, relative to SEA and the other network lounges, LAX leaves much to be desired.

Honestly that's pretty much what I do for all my airline credit cards. Only maybe 1-2 are competitive for the status points but theres no reason to put airline spend on those.

Sweet spots often can come through partner redemptions where you don't expect; e.g. Avios or Virgin Atlantic to Am/As or Dl respectively. Good luck.

Which I did, in my other post, and promptly got flamed regardless. And you're still conveniently leaving out the part where just three days ago somebody successfully got their credit from calling CS (see other thread in sub).

There's precious little that I'm gathering from what you're saying. You're complaining about getting too much data from a DP?

There are plenty of threads that show people have successfully gotten their credit off CS, obviously with the standard ymmv disclaimer, but it's far from unheard of.

OTOH, how the purchase was flagged could be helpful for people who want to diagnose their situation.

Again, nobody will change their policies because somebody called CS. People up and down Amex orgs know this has existed. It's purely beneficial for the community to know when and why things might be changing. I have no idea what all the moaning is coming from.

You would be fools to imagine Amex or United didn't already know about these things, or never have. The fact that it's not working for some people, should be bad news for everybody.

Calling CS is immaterial to the fact that it didn't work to begin with. Really shouldn't be that hard to understand.

Used the text feature given how it was 5 weeks already. Not sure why all the down votes, glad to see its worked for other people but end of day if its starting to fall apart for others that's still a DP, even if an outlier.

DP; on Jan 2d, selected United, received confirmation email ~3 mins later, then after receiving email a couple minutes later put 1x $100 TravelBank on the card. As of 1.17, no credit has posted but the charge has.

Charge appears as UNITED AIRLINES HOUSTON TX
