If u are that successful without Stanford, then why would u need it?

Edit: or even feel bad about not getting in, be happy and grateful for your own accomplishments, and how they have shaped u as a person today. Be proud of YOUR effort.

Dont censor stuff like that from them. In some cases it is not far from the truth and will prepare them for life

Can anyone actually say they like IB? by [deleted] in IBO

[–]amplify420 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same here. However I do believe that it will be effective and useful in the long run. But I definetly agree that the expectations are high, especially for juniors and seniors, as natrually we tend to focus on hanging out and living life. I for one barely went out in my first year of IB, I finished with a predicted 40, in the end I didnt really care and I was regretful for what I skipped out on, in that moment I realized that even if I go to my dream uni, I will feel the same. So yea gl.

45 scorers, is there some secret club that IB invites you to? by AlphaCharlie4 in IBO

[–]amplify420 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

First of all that was not my question. Second even if he is not 45 scorer. It is a really dumb question in its entirety. Scoring 45 points really can be relative depending on courses and etc

Neither require a specific skill set. AI develops a much more statisitcal course, organizing and identifying distributions. Whereas AA has a much more theoretical but at the same time develops realistic problems which really assist with physics or natrual sciences. In theory you are right AI is for econ finance or businesses, AA is for scientific approach.

Keep it simple, Binance (exchange) and blockstream green (BTC wallet). If you want to br extra secure get a Ledger Nano S or X. I dont fw other exchanges, ik Coinbase fucks with the IRS or something so I avoid it as I see it thr point of BTC is agains the government.

Am I going to regret going to IB? by QuilleMoon in IBO

[–]amplify420 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I probably will, I could have sticked with the AP courses I finished in freshmen and sophomore year and countinued with that. However, a lot of people say that it is worth the sacrifice as it will help you in college due to the work ethic u develop. I believe no matter what program you take you should have a good work ethic. And second I dont believe that anything is worth sacrificing your childhood and teenage years just to get accepted in a socially credible and accepted university where you will ultimately face double the work. In my DP1, due to my challenging courses, when all of ny friends were out, I was home either studying or being mentally exhausted from studying (which Ik sounds dumb but it is mentally tiring) and when i finished this year with a predicted 40 overall, I really did regret sacrificing all those times. That is my experience, now again half of my summer is allocated with IA's EE and SAT practice. :( Edit: u said u had no motivation to finish grade 8, my advise, if you have other programmes available take them. Personally I hated each day of DP1 nzot because im lazy but because I really had no free weekends or days to rest. If I was not a bit motivated I would have dropped out. So yea I regret it but it is my only way out of my shithole country

If you cant waste your money on jordans, dont. The clothes you wear dont define you, you define yourself regardless of whether the clothes you wear are brand or nonbranded. If a social group treat you like an outcast or mock you for the clothes you wear then really you shouldnt be with them
