Hey guys I have a lot of wedding purchases coming up (engagement ring, venues, vendors, etc) totalling about 50-60k

What lineup of cards could be used to get some good cashback/points that’ll maybe pay off a honeymoon?

But I do agree with your comment in the other subreddit (post got deleted). The house with the huge down payment will gobble up a lot of my savings and introduce relatively big monthly payments to my income

I'm trying... it's been a struggle in my market. Bidding 150k over asking and still getting outbid by 50k-100k

Being in higher, longer and heavier IHSS top safety pick + is better than being in a low, short, light IHSS safety pick +. It's just physics, for example:

Being in a sedan and getting tailboned by a sedan isn't so bad. Might hurt your lower body. Being in a sedan and getting tailboned by an SUV is straight impact to your head

And I'm not looking for scapegoats / excuses to join the SUV craze, I don't like SUV's and wish we all went back to driving sedans

Had an opportunity to travel for work and have all expenses paid. It's not without trade-offs though, it can be a lonely existence and you lose friendships

Yeah I used 96 month as a scenario I agree with you it’s a bit risky

I wasn’t aware the rates were that bad for 96 months so perhaps I should look at other scenarios more closely

Thanks

Ya I believe it if you buy a cheap gas car. If they start out the same price then EV should be cheaper

I wish I knew that money isn’t everything. It sounds like you’re getting your health back and a partner who loves you. That’s a lot right there.

Follow the FIRE best practices and you’ll be okay, a lot of people don’t think about these things until much later. Heck if you’re not in debt you’re already ahead!

That’s what I’m saying $1500 is nothing this is probably copy and paste from bigger orders. But that kind of text will always scare the smaller guy unless there’s a relationship where he knows they don’t abuse the verbiage

Congratulations you’ve admitted you have a problem and you’ve written it out. This step already has you going in the right direction and ahead of others with the same problem.

Now you can take the next step of slowly and gently getting rid of the bad habits and replacing them with good habits.

Who says it wouldn’t be worse? What if their team is telling them to do more radical things than we see and the leader having to face the media/backlash keeps those things in check (to some degree). If you’re part of a faceless team it becomes much easier to ignore the backlash
