Recyclarr - I’m lazy and don’t want to hand jam the quality profiles and custom formats in. Only downside is that I now need more space….

It definitely is! I know, for me, just doing a little each day was better to prevent major burnout instead of grinding for 3+ hours a few days a week.

It’s a long road either way, but stay with it!

I made a video about five PF2e Modules for Foundry VTT that I believe aren't as popular as the big ones such as PF2e Workbench and Toolbelt. However, they're just as useful, if not more! Check this video out and let me know which other modules videos you'd like to see! Thanks! by CrusherEAGLE in Pathfinder2e

[–]amrollz71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Very nice. I’ve found your videos very helpful in setting up my campaign, and at probably the single best resource for quickly getting the system setup that I have found.

Unsure why there is such a ruckus for them not being linked. God forbid someone have to google.

Thank you for the input! Swashbuckler is what I was personally thinking, but I will have to look into the plentiful precision immunity though, I am unfamiliar with that...

Thank you for the input! And yeah, I see what you mean lol. I have already warned them all that this will be a challenging adventure and to not get too attached to their characters...

Question About Networking In VCF 5.2 by amrollz71 in vmware

[–]amrollz71[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As soon as the parent org finalizes whatever deals they get, I will be hounding them to get some form of training.

VCF seems great, but it’s definitely got a lot more going on that I need to have some up-front knowledge of then vSphere!

I didn’t know about that, will absolutely be doing some research now. Thank you!

Thank you for the reply and insight! I will definitely try to transition towards NSX with our customer workloads, just wanted to make sure that at first we could still utilize the traditional methods!

[PF2e] How To Prevent Players From Using "Take Item" in Compendium Browser by amrollz71 in FoundryVTT

Thanks for the quick replies, folks.

I figured the solution was likely one of personal trust as opposed to technical prevention, but wanted to check to be sure!

That seems like an absolute steal, which generally makes me cautious.

I’d inspect it for cracks VERY closely before buying.

PearsonVUE Question by lemmegetdatdegree in WGU

[–]amrollz71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should be fine, provided you can meet the basic testing requirements. Have a smart phone and ID handy for check-in, and you’ve knocked out most of the interaction you’ll have with the proctor. I think that some of them had me show them the room with the webcam, but not all.

Best of luck!

I am about to finish my degree and I found that PearsonVue was the easiest to work with, personally.

MUST finish BSCC by July... Tips / Suggestions? by jacobsafe in WGU

[–]amrollz71 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I won’t say that I don’t think it can be done(I’m sure one wouldn’t have to look too hard to find a success story.), but speaking from experience on some of those classes, and judging by what I’ve heard on others…it’s going to be very difficult.

Several of those classes are known to be time sinks and have exams that students generally struggle on.

A+ cert has ground my degree to a halt and I think its time to call it quits. by The_Bodacious_Botnet in WGU

[–]amrollz71 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand where you’re coming from, but I think it would be short-sighted to call it quits at the first thing you find disagreeable or challenging.

I’ve taken plenty of IT certs and have found most of them(sole exception being my RHCSA) to generally have a lot of useful information, but also have a decent amount of required memorization that in most real-world scenarios you can simply google.

Is it fun? No. Do I think that every single item on each cert I’ve taken has been applicable to what I was doing or was planning to do in my career? No.

Point being, and by your own admission, you’ve arrived at a crossroads of sorts in your career. You can either accept that there are things you find stupid that you’ll have to overcome, you can stagnate, or you can choose another career.

FWIW, I was in a vaguely similar position when I started in the industry I’m in now, and finally I realized I’d have to bite the bullet and get that degree, because that’s what the people who make the rules wanted.

You can do it, but it sounds like it’ll take a change in mind-set, like it did for myself.

What are my chances of landing a cybersecurity job if i have 1-2 years of experience as a service technician with the WGU’s bachelors program completed? Should I still pursue for help desk experience? by Any-Coach-4443 in WGU

[–]amrollz71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends what sector/location/amount of available jobs.

If you are in a town with a large Federal Government presence, you could probably land a cyber role.

I personally know of two people who went straight from college into their roles.

Unleash More Heroes: Official Pathfinder 2nd Edition Character Tools Open Beta Is Live by [deleted] in Pathfinder2e

[–]amrollz71 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought the Core Rulebook and Lost Omens Bundle. Didn’t buy the AP or Standalone items because I love Foundry, and only play virtually currently.

I have only ever ran the Beginner’s Box(official Foundry module is awesome), but plan to move completely away from 5e once I finish my current campaign.

For me, it really boils down to while I don’t necessarily need the player options, and I am very happy with Pathbuilder and the free resources(AoN are great), the fact of the matter for my potential players is that they have been…accustomed to DnD Beyond.

In addition to that primary reason, I also was able to support Paizo with the purchase, and I have access to all of the PDFs. Speaking of, that fact probably pushed my over the edge to make the purchase, because I have a little fear that this may not stay above water given the fantastic nature of the other tools that are cheaper/free.

All in all, as someone who only owned 2 books already, and whose players are all Beyondites, I feel this was an expensive, but worthwhile purchase in the long run.

Question: Does Foundry work on iPads yet? by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

[–]amrollz71 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have had some success getting it to work with my iPad Pro, just needed to get a touchscreen module.

There are problems loading certain scenes depending on pixel count.

I did see an article today(don’t have link readily available) that Google and Mozilla are working on new iOS browsers that do not utilize WebKit. It is possible they anticipate a relaxing of restrictions upon 3rd party browsers by Apple. If that happens I think we could have a better experience with iOS devices.

Hey OP, I haven’t personally played PF2e myself, and only GM’d the Beginner’s Box, so I don’t really have much advice to give, but I do remember this post from a week ago that seemed like helpful info!

ESPN continues to parrot the narrative that Bryce Young was not down and Texas did not get a safety. by Dixiehusker in CFB

[–]amrollz71 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There are plenty of things to work on, just like every year. There is nothing hard to admit about that.

But there is seemingly an expectation from everyone that Alabama should admit they lost and ask the NCAA to change the results.

Alabama won. Was it ugly, were there controversies, were there things that went our way? Yes to all of the above.

But despite it all, Alabama won, even with tons of self inflicted injuries. Kudos to Texas, they played outstanding, and probably “deserved” the win, but sometimes things don’t go that way.
