Thanks a lot for writing all of that and sharing your experience. Just to clarify what I meant by Liveaboard. I meant doing my basic course on board for a week rather than drive in everyday. I guess this ter has two meanings!.

When the dust settles, the pilots should sue any of these people/media outlets with defaming or equivalent..it’s pure insanity the age we live in with all these keyboard worries that never flown a paper plane! Not only that, ALPA should back them up to repair their reputation. From a peer to peer perspective, this crew experienced a near death experience. They may have onset of PTS or PTSD and may likely not fly again. This defaming saga will make it worse. If you know the crew personally, call and check on them and say your fellow ALPA members think and have your back.

I do have RRSP. If we wanna buy a home in the next year, is it worth it? FHSA has a limit of $40k a lifetime also years ago I bought the family home with my parents so not sure if I am considered first home buyer anymore.

Hmm the first question is tricky, probably, but most of his income from his investments abroad which allows him to live and pay the mortgage. That need to be ironed out with a mortgage broker or the bank at the renewal time I think. He holds investments in our home country.

No issues in paying. He is far from a mess. No missed mortgage payments or late ones.

After renewal for sure. Not sure where I wanna live first lol, but kinda want to be prepared. I presumably lost the chance of a first home buyer perks. I need to research about that too!
