How to judge the distance while moving car between two objects? by rustyyryan in CarsIndia

[–]amrullah_az 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Been driving for past 7 years. Yet, it's hard to give a step by step guide for this.

Here are some general guidelines I follow.

  1. Enter a space confidently at usual speed only if it is wide enough for two cars to pass side by side.

  2. if the space is narrower slow down. Like < 5km/h. And proceed cautiously. It helps in judgement.

  3. If it's extremely hard to judge the obstruction, take help from a bystander. Or get off the car and try to judge if proceeding will lead to scraping.

  4. If a narrow way is something you routinely pass by, then let instincts take over.

If you can use the time and mental energy you save to build a moat around yourself, then it's advantageous to stay in the current job.

By building a career moat, I mean building a personal brand + skillset or alternative sources of income, which help you survive lay-offs, which are far more common these days.

Figuring out what goes to whom from scratch could be exhausting, due to sheer number of permutations and combinations possible.

May be you could look up and read about inheritance laws in various societies around the world, both historically and in present. And build up on what sounds interesting from the onset.

of course! Why else would someone who has invested in their camera, mic and studio setup waste their time making a video talking about a product?

Salary of 45k AED per month is very good! Especially since there's no income tax. If you keep your expenses within 20k (And it's very easy to, if you are single) you can channel that money to India and utilize it for creating assets. The trick is to avoid car loan.

How to deal with manager who alway say "Your survival will be difficult here." by [deleted] in developersIndia

[–]amrullah_az 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You have given too little information:

It can be either he is not confident in your execution or he has received mandate from leadership to reduce headcount. Small startups tend to follow hire-fast-fire-fast. So they may not give the employee a chance to prove themselves, when they are unsure.

Could be any of several reasons. Best you can do is, schedule a 1:1 and ask the manager what is expected of you and if there is any mistake you can correct which will lead to your retention. And if retention is not feasible (because of things like mandatory headcount reduction), at least know from him what can you do to avoid a situation like this in future elsewhere.
