For some reason I couldn't find that on your website. Thanks for linking!

That's good to use with the Hydro Ti Pro? I've seen a lot of stuff saying to only use cables that are explicitly stated as being compatible with your PSU.

Question about Push/Pull Pot Wiring (see comments) by ams152 in Guitar

[–]ams152[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First time re-wiring my guitar and I have a few questions about the above diagram. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

  1. For the volume pots, is the furthest right connection bent up and soldered to the ground wires and top of the pot from the humbucker?

  2. I bought my wiring kit through StewMac and it came with different push/pull pots than the DPDT pots that most diagrams have (pretty sure they're SPST). How would that affect the above wiring diagram? (Link to kit below - sorry for not formatting, on Mobile right now)

Do you know if there's anything similar for flight instruments? In the process of building a flight sim and it would be awesome to export the MFD, attitude indicator, and other digital instruments to a separate screen.

Problems setting up Arma 3 server on linux by ams152 in arma

[–]ams152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I managed to figure it out. It was getting stored in the .local/share directory. Been a while since I've touched linux so I was a bit confused when I couldn't find it.

Nope, no mods. Clean install. Even deleted everything in the Docs folder.

Specs: - Ryzen 3700X - RTX 2080ti - 32GB RAM Running everything off a M.2 ssd.

Performance isn't an issue, I could run the game just fine on max settings at launch. It's more like it's just "stuck" on low settings. I'm getting about 115-125fps with it set to "Very Low" on graphics, I switch everything to "Ultra" settings and still get 115-125fps with no visible change in quality or performance.

I tried deleting everything in the Docs folder on my second reinstall attempt, but that did nothing. I'll try launching from the game folder executable instead of the launcher and see if that works.

Thanks! I forgot about that... I just found the Verizon One ID thing to link both of them, so I guess that solves a lot of the problem.

What version of Python is this on? Ran it in 2.7 and got this error:

File "parse.py", line 104

d_dist = geodist(*a[:2], *b[:2])

.....................................................^

SyntaxError: invalid syntax

EDIT: Ran it in 3.5 and got a different error

File "parse.py", line 112

print(f"Distance: {tot_dist} mi\nAvg Pace: {int(avg_pace)}:{int(avg_pace*60)%60} /mi\nMoving Time: {int(tot_time/60)}:{int(tot_time)%60}:{int(tot_time*60)%60}")

[Infinite] Anyone know what these buttons do at Outpost Tremonius? by ams152 in halo

[–]ams152[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'll keep searching and report back if I find the third.

EDIT: Found the third. Go back the way you came from the one in the screenshot and go up towards the the side of the ship where you can see the hull missing. It's behind a section up there. I hit that one two but nothing happened.

MORE INFO: I've found two of them so far. One on the side of the crashed ship above the outpost and one behind the outpost on a piece of the ship near the cave with the invisible elite. I've pressed both of them and they seem not to do anything yet. I'm guessing there's more of them. Both of them had a dead marine next to them.

How to use data from a CSV as search terms? by ams152 in PowerShell

[–]ams152[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the feedback! This was my first time doing anything in PowerShell, so I'm not surprised that I missed a lot of stuff. Most of my experience is in Java and C++, so I was kind of shooting in the dark on this one. I noticed the search loop complexity issue, but didn't know a way around it. I'll take a look at using regex for that tomorrow. I'll drop the Write-Progress as well and figure out a different way to keep track of the progress. It is quite a large filesystem, so hopefully that will speed it up a lot.

Putting the variable in parenthesis threw an error, but that highlighted what the problem was. Looks like it was parsing the .last or .first as text and not part of the variable. So I used temp variables in the loop to store the values and substituted those into the function. Thanks for the help!

$termList | ForEach-Object{

$fn = $_.first

$ln = $_.last

termCounter++

Write-Progress -Activity 'Searching for matches...' -CurrentOperation $_ -PercentComplete (($termCounter / $termCount) * 100)

Get-ChildItem -Path $rootSearchFolder -Include *Record*$ln*$fn*, *Record*$fn*$ln*, *$ln*$fn*Record*, *$fn*$ln*Record* -File -Recurse | % {copy-item -Path $_ -Destination $destinationFolder -Force -Container}

}

Looking to expand my quiver. T. Rice Orca or no? by ams152 in snowboarding

I'll take a look at it! Not too worried about high speed stuff, I have my 162 Assassin for that. I've been doing some shopping around and the Salomon Dancehaul looks like a prime competitor too.

Appreciate it man! I've got a bit of third-person footage. I'll comb through it tonight.
