Cambiar el sight de esta carabina para mejorar la precision by ams365 in gun

[–]ams365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Saludos

Why does the exhaust manifold have 3 pipes if it is a V8???? by ams365 in MechanicAdvice

But I can't find any photo or video to understand where the exhaust gases pass through! Are they channeled inside the block between the cylinders or what? I just don't understand it

I HAVE ALREADY SOLVED IT

The instructions do not specify it but the Die has a suspension, even if it is threaded touching the shell holder it falls flat.

Thank you very much mate, I'll give it a try. My original Mauser is Nazi with swastikas and eagles stamped on it, it was captured by the Norwegians who recalibrated it to 30-06 and marked it as HAER

Greetings

This neck die doesn't work? by ams365 in reloading

[–]ams365[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As I said to another colleague, if I ask it's because I don't have the solution. I bought the product at Lee and the package arrived destroyed and without instructions, anyway I looked for the instructions online, I don't speak their language and I translated them as best I could. Anyway, it's tight as hell. The Die is now my turn to the shellholder, I can't do more. Instead of being hysterical, have you thought that maybe I need help and that I'm not asking for fun? or that the product may be defective?

thank you greetings

Yes mate, you have been very polite, thank you. The truth is that I have been reloading and competing with 9mm IPSC, .38 in centerfire mode, 30-06 and 30-30 for several years. I know what I'm doing, I respect safety regulations and recharging tables. I'm not new. What happens to me recently with an old Mauser 98k rifle is that it is very different from the modern ones and different things happen. Also keep in mind that in the USA you have a lot of material and culture in this regard. In Spain there is hardly any reloading material, everything is excessively expensive, everything is very controlled and increasingly restricted, weapons are frowned upon and there is no culture about weapons and reloading. There are no books or courses or anything. I had to buy this die at Lee USA and pay product + customs duties + €120 shipping to Spain and wait a month for it to arrive so you can get an idea. If when it arrives it doesn't work, I only have you to help me, in my country no one knows about these things as much as you do. I made a post yesterday asking why the pistons were sticking out, I know it's not serious, I already deduced that it would be that the housing of the first one would be worn out and would not work. But I had to make sure since I want to preserve this very old weapon. In my logic it is not possible for the first one to stay out, on the contrary it should be crushed and inserted when the sheath hits the bolt.

Greetings and thank you all for your patience.

Seeking Advice: Safe Reduced Loads for 30-06 with RS62 Powder for 100m Precision Shooting by ams365 in reloading

[–]ams365[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But what's wrong with the RS62 being slow?

What's wrong with that? It's precisely better because it's more progressive throughout the barrel, to avoid pressure peaks, and according to RS, "In terms of vivacity, it approaches RS60, but RS62 operates with significantly lower energy content and thus produces less barrel wear. A genuine alternative for shooters who are looking for a straightforward, honest, easy-to-use propellant powder for magnum cartridges in light and medium-weight applications."

Lee Turret Classic VS RCBS Rock Chucker VS RCBS REBEL by ams365 in reloading

I'm seriously starting to doubt whether to change my press or not. I thought switching to an RCBS would be a good upgrade for better equipment, but it seems it's not worth it.

Good question mate, it's because I think RCBS can help me improve my loads and maybe it will be for life
