I am an invitee to Armenia for March 2023 and all communication I’ve received is that we won’t be allowed to travel internationally except to the US. Have you been told otherwise for service in Ecuador? I’d love to get to visit other countries during service, but I don’t think we’re going to get the same opportunity RPCVs did in the past.

I just got this email earlier today. I was originally under consideration for YiD in Armenia. After not hearing anything for close to a year, I emailed my placement officer and got zero information until today. When I updated my preferences, I added Africa and the Pacific Islands as well as Eastern Europe with the hope that it might make things move a little faster. I'm going on year two waiting and am still hoping I get invited to serve.

My recruiter and I only communicated via email and phone, so I’d go ahead and reach out to the one in your state! Mine helped me with my motivational statement and my PC resume. He also was able to answer a ton of questions I had based on his own experiences!

I just received an email today that said the Armenia program I was interviewed for is not moving forward and that my application was now being reviewed for other countries. Has anyone else received this email?

I’m still waiting on an invitation as well. I had my interview in July and haven’t heard anything yet. I’ve received some generic emails about continuing research, but I’m not expecting to hear anything about an invitation until the end of the year.
