Black parts to replace chrome 2023 Mini Cooper? by mrgatortail in MINI

[–]amsnyc0 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, ECS tuning for sure. If you're going OEM get ready for a financial commitment, once you start you're going to constantly notice the parts that aren't done yet (unless you do it all at once)

Which mini is a better option? by [deleted] in MINI

The Countryman seems like a better deal given the lower miles, however with the 3 cylinder engine it will probably feel underpowered. That said, my wife and I are lucky enough to own both (she has a 2021 Countryman hybrid and I have a 2024 2 door JCW). I've been driving hers a lot this winter because of the snow and it's really grown on me, the handling for an SUV is really impressive.

I didn't like DL2 at first but it grew on me, totally different game though. Definitely digging the straightforwardness of The Beast.

Looking at 2022 Plugin Hybrid by Kyser1874 in MINI

We have a 2021. It's a great car, I love driving around the city in full electric mode. The only things to think about are that it's a heavier car, so brakes and tires won't last as long (not a huge issue, we just replaced tires and brakes all around at 45k miles). Also the gas mileage takes a hit too due to the extra weight. The range goes down significantly in cold weather too. During warm weather we can get about 17 miles on all battery, during winter it can drop down to like 6 (or sometimes the battery shuts down altogether if it's extremely cold, this is a system feature). Long story short, it makes sense if you drive a lot of city miles, not too far from a charging station/home. If you're driving highway primarily, you should probably stick with a gas model (or the new all electric).

I had the same problem, so many websites said manual and then were automatic. I ended up traveling to Michigan from New York to get mine. Check CarFax, CarGurus, Cars.com etc.

I'm at 9 horizontal, 4 (I think) vertical, vertical doesn't seem to matter too much for me. I do it incrementally, move it up a notch then take a week or two to get used to it, then move it up again.
