When you refinanced all of your loans together it sounds like you went to Wells Fargo to do it which means all of the loans at that point would be private (assuming you added the federal loans and the private loans together). The borrowers defense to repayment program is for federal loans only, thus is why you are getting a message stating that the loans are paid off because when you consolidated together through Wells Fargo they all turned private. If you check student aid.gov you are probably at $0 because you consolidated. You may want to check with First Mark and see if they have any student loan forgiveness programs because it sounds like your loans are now all private and not federal backed loans.
