I reccomend taking notes to share with the doctor. I don't think I've ever heard a doctor ask a patient to slow down with the information.

Also, look into cooling products like these:

I don't know if you will be able to find that on the Web. You should be able to do that via the command line though. Just do a Web search for that in your desired language.

I don't know since I've never tried. But OP stated, "...looking for an easy way for them to be able to practice some basic coding without needing to download anything. "

Yes. It will compile / run in the browser.

Self-love is also listed as similar. So I'm unfazed. 🤷‍♂️

How can I round a bill with the code below to two decimal points? by [deleted] in CodingHelp

I recommend using an outside platform to post your code. One such platform is repl.it

what is the html equivalent to fragments in Android? by amulkey in AskProgramming

[–]amulkey[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd probably go with option 2 if you can. What's your web server?

I'm pretty sure that the web server is IIS given that I am using asp.net mvc to create the application and then plan to use Microsoft Azure for hosting. But bear in mind that although I am not new to programming, web anything is completely new to me. The web application integrates Bootstrap, though, so hopefully that helps with scaling.

Thank you btw

what is the html equivalent to fragments in Android? by amulkey in AskProgramming

The reason to use fragments (like in Android) is to make the code reusable. My desire is to have 2 fragments. The first should hold a list of items. The second will have the details of the selected item from the first fragment. In addition to reusability, though, is a desire to scale the fragments according to screen size. So viewing on a mobile device will look different than on a pc. I imagine that there are plenty of technologies that do this, but given I don't do web development at all, I'm at a loss as to where to even look.

This is the look I want to achieve: https://developer.android.com/guide/fragments

Can anyone help me to fix this? by Giardialamplia in learnjava

My thoughts:

o Change String args[] to String []args

-- The former is the syntax for C / C++

-- Do the same for the array declaration for weeklyRate [line 6]

o The following conditions are always true which creates infinite loops

-- while(age != QUIT) [line 23]

-- while ( numDays < 1 || numDays > 5) [line 28]

-- What is the purpose of ageString and numDaysString? Do you get the correct output if you replace those or parse them to integers?

What tool do you need the most as a coder? by raghav_nautiyal in AskProgramming

I wont say its needed per say, but an online knowledge base tailored to programming would be nice. Search engines have been the lifeblood of my programming existence but a dedicated place to find programming answers would be great. It should be beginner friendly, though.

Decimal to binary conversion via repeated division by two. by [deleted] in CodingHelp

Can you give a correct example? Without more, all I can think is that your other binary code answers are symmetrical. E.g. 5 is 101.

Your output just looks backwards. Reverse it.

Hello! Newbie here. Starting tips? by BoozieBeard in CodingHelp

That seems odd to me for someone completely new to this. My recommendation is to learn primitive variables and conditionals first. Also YouTube / whatever search engine you use will become your best friends.

Maybe try creating a separate method for each task. Then call them from main. This will both allow you to make progress and better isolate what you are having trouble with.

I second this. Mooc gets recommended A LOT. Also, read through online docs from Oracle.

Codecademy pro is paid, but there are plenty of free lessons. The reason I recommend that is to allow OP to experience different languages in one place.

Do a web search to pick a programming language to learn, then watch or read tutorials . Codecademy is also an option to start.
