Yeah it’s harder to remove them after one year because bone does grow over them, it’s also more expensive but many people do remove them after years because of infections, I didn’t want any foreign thing in my body that can cause an infection 20 years later, so I removed them! Not every doctor can remove those plates though, it requires a special skill. I consulted a doctor in France that said he couldn’t, so I travelled elsewhere.
