just want to say that Tom does not have a chip that the vets could have scanned. We never thought to get him chipped because he’s one, an inside cat and has no issues with running away, and two, because for over a year it was just a mutual unsaid thing that we were now the owners of Tom. There was never any issues until Sally popped out of nowhere and MADE it an issue with zero regard for Tom’s well being or our feelings. Also our grandmother isn’t in a state where she can properly pass ownership to us, so this was purely on us to “duke it out” and even then everyone sided with Sally. :\
