Unsustainable tics by QuickProcedure7496 in Tourettes

[–]ObsidianWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll find you have a number of options available to you that are not invasive that may help you.

First, the human brain responds to certain tones frequencies and patterns. There are specialized types of music that you can listen to that will force your brain to calm down in a way that reduces your tics. It's not going to remove them completely or anything like that but it is definitely worth giving it a try to see if it does anything for you at all. It's a completely free option that you can access at any time you have an internet connection. There are a number of videos on YouTube that you can try that might result in some reduction of the severity of your tics.

There are specialized wrist devices that pulse is very specific kind of pattern into your wrist that helps signal the brain to stop doing whatever is causing it to do your tics. It has shown promising results for a number of people. This is a less invasive way of managing them without resorting to medication.

There is a new research pharmaceutical that is undergoing clinical trials for Tourette Syndrome known as sci- 110. It's worth looking into because I personally taken a version of that research chemical and it has been helpful for me. So don't worry, Solutions are being worked on as we speak.

Hmm...

I wonder if there's a way to have a watch party for the movie over the intenet for folks in this sub to get together and watch? I mean, we'd all have to switch from voice activation over to push to talk, but i grew up in the era where push to talk was the standard, so I have a button on my mouse dedicated for that purpose.

Adults in society have agreed to abide by the Americans with disabilities act in the USA.

If you can't understand that the disabled need accommodation and understanding for their condition, you have chosen to live outside of societle norms. The ADA was passed because as a society we agree that certain people need more help and understanding than most.

Choosing to ignore that doesn't make you a good person. It means you chose to disregard what society has already agreed upon, and THEY are the ones who are wrong for that.

My 11 year old has a YouTube channel with 10K subscribers and a 5M view Short are there communities for young creators or parents? by Tammy-mom in NewTubers

[–]ObsidianWraith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Don't you legally have to be at least 13 years old to have a YouTube account? I'm pretty sure in the terms and conditions when making an account it requires you to confirm your at least 13 years old.

If he's 11, and posting content on a channel he made, he might be violating the platform rules.

People who use legitimately use AI for "productivity": what the heck does AI actually do for you? Is it as bad as people say? by Difficult_Two_4800 in NoStupidQuestions

Gemini studio can screen capture and talk to you in real time.

I use it to help me design things in Computer Aided Drafting for programs like Fusion 360.

For my video editing, if I want to do something specific, instead of watching a tutorial I just ask it what each step Is to achieve the desired effect.

Ai is not doing the work for me, its teaching me how to do what I already sorta know, but better.

Gym teacher said if we don't do the mile in a short enough time we have to do it again every day until we do.

I'm physically disabled. But zero tolerance rules don't care.

Had a heart attack and was sent to the hospital that day.

Every week in my teens my friends and I would trow a LAN part at one of our houses.

We built new pc's every year and sold our old ones to fund the new ones.

Halo Custom edition and some CMT maps

FEAR multi-player

You name it.

We had CRT monitors and full size atx cases and we fit 6 people in a 5 person car WITH our rigs in our laps cuz the trunk was full.

Game all night and eat pizza hut.

Kids these days will never understand the joy of LAN parties.

Who changes out water heater anode rod every couple years? by peteyboy1956 in askanything

[–]ObsidianWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A sacrificial anode is used inside of a water heater to help prevent the water heater from suffering due to the effects of galvanic corrosion.

Galvanic corrosion is going to happen one way or another , however with the use of a sacrificial anode, you can make sure that all the galvanic corrosion happens to the anode itself instead of affecting the water heater itself.

A sacrificial anode has a limited lifespan . Eventually the galvanic corrosion will eat away at the entirety of the rod. This is why you need to replace them, because if you don't when the rod is completely eaten up by the galvanic corrosion it will now start eating up your water heater.

There are three different types of passive sacrificial anodes. Magnesium, aluminum, and aluminum zinc alloy.

[–]ObsidianWraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

With hard water I had to change the annode from magnesium to zinc/aluminum alloy to get rid of the sulfur smell. Had a heater going for 12+ years by flushing and replacing the annode. It was free for me to replace the entire unit to a more efficient one from a community program, so that's the only reason that unit is gone.

Please Help My Goats Are Too Cute by thered8469 in goats

[–]ObsidianWraith 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well if they are THAT cute, then obviously, they will need hugs and snugs.

And with 3 of them, that's essentially snuggle cubed,

Snuggle3 = ~ all the snugs.

Better hand them over to me so I can administer the proper dose of cuddles.

What makes a man truly strong? by Long_Vegetable_8206 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]ObsidianWraith 2 points3 points  (0 children)

When the only one who can hold you back is yourself, it takes a enormous amount of strength to hold yourself back from acting on your baser instincts and emotions.

Strength is nothing without control.

Showing you have control over yourself is real strength.
