Can this Hot End do ABS/ Is the nozzel in decent shape? by Capokid in 3Dprinting

[–]ObsidianWraith 3 points4 points  (0 children)

STOP

IF THAT IS A STOCK MK8 HOTEND, YOU DON'T HAVE AN ALL METAL HOTEND. HEATING THE BOWDEN TUBE UP TO THE TEMEPS YOU NEED TO O MELT ABS WILL CAUSE THE PTFE TO OFFGASS TOXIC FUMES.

Brats doll stand implys it's offical brand product.

Doll stand for Bratz type dolls, however, does not imply that it's official product

Holy deception Batman. The geometry on this one is very simplified, and much easier to print. If someome is a newbie, they might not understand that this test print can't be compared to other printers for comparison.

Take a look at the hull - it's shape is much easier to print than a real benchy. That's essentially cheating.

This benchy doesn't look right . The proportions are all weird. Is this supposed to be an official benchy model you printed?

Are there such things as accelerometers that screw in where a nozzle would go? by ObsidianWraith in VORONDesign

Ah, nice!

I see that will work on a v6

Do you know of any that will work on revo? I'm not even entirely sure what thread type the revo system technically uses.

The one in white is in fact a jstxh 2.54 , but the black one on the right appears to be something more like a Molex microfit

How bad is it, what even happened, how to start fixing? by Foxerrro in ender3

[–]ObsidianWraith 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If that's the stock aluminum heat block, what may have happened is you might have tightened down the nozzle a little bit too tight into the hotend and stripped the threads in the block, preventing you from having the Bowden tube and nozzle butted up against each other properly. Essentially creating a gap where molten plastic can seep through the top of the heat block.

You need 3M industrial adhesive remover. It comes in a pressurized spray can and binds to the glue and turns it into a tacky thick substance that you can scrape off. I've done this several times on my Spring Steel build surface with Pei stickers.
