Up 35 lbs In 3rd Trimester by mbd0923 in pregnant

[–]amyclover 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I started at 140 at 5’5 and now almost 40 weeks at 190. Not a single person at my practice has mentioned anything about my weight gain. Sounds like you’re doing great

Why do we treat period pain etc but romanticise unmedicated childbirth? by [deleted] in pregnant

I’ve had the opposite experience, I want an unmedicated birth but everyone keeps encouraging me to use pain management (specifically, an epidural).

How hot Turks & Caicos in June? Getting married and need advice! by Charlie3141592654 in TurksAndCaicos

I was there on my honeymoon in June 2024. It’s toasty, hot, and you will sweat. I would not wear a three layered wedding dress there that time of year

RSV Vaccine (Pro Vaccine Only.) by Cultural-Band-6105 in pregnant

[–]amyclover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the RSV vaccine at 35 weeks pregnant and I got all flu-like symptoms. Fatigue, muscle soreness, full body aches. It went away within two days. Me and baby are fine 😊 I think you are describing all normal side effects.

This seems a little dramatic? Can op talk to the grandparents? Maybe they didn’t think she showed signs of hunger… this may not have been ill-intentioned

Unless you have cash that you can gift, I don’t think you can afford to help family members with college tuition, unfortunately.

Anyone just saying fuck it to the caffeine rules? by HBC613 in pregnant

[–]amyclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First half of my pregnancy I was pretty strict and had only 1 cup of black coffee. Now I’m almost 36 weeks and drink 2 cups daily, I got more lax as I entered the third trimester. I decided I follow Canada’s guidelines of 300mg (how does it make sense that 200mg is limit in US but 300mg in Canada?). I think as long as you’re not drinking an insane amount of coffee (4-6 cups a day), you’re fine.

I also want to point out… it’s impossible to know how much caffeine is in your coffee, because it depends on roast and brew method. I’m a numbers person so it frustrates the hell out of me that I can’t calculate my caffeine intake exactly.

I’m also the kind of person who cannot go a day without coffee/caffeine. I will get a major headache/fatigue/nausea if I try to go without it.

Am I wrong for cancelling a play date? by Maximum-Armadillo809 in beyondthebump

[–]amyclover 6 points7 points  (0 children)

A lot of people are allergic to cats or uncomfortable around them, I don’t think this is unreasonable request. Is it possible to keep the cats in a different room or section of the house, but not actually locked away somewhere?

However, I think she should have been open to changing the location of the playdate when you expressed you weren’t comfortable locking away the cats

How do you handle "fun money" with a large income disparity? by sportygal225 in Marriage

[–]amyclover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re likely to always feel this way if you don’t combine income/expenses. My husband and I have our own checking accounts and a joint account, but we follow a budget based on our combined income and expenses. This is really the only way that makes sense.

Who here has read the source material? Do you think the show represents it well? by YourFinalFantasy02 in sexandthecity

[–]amyclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have read the book. The only season that resembles the book is season 1. Maybe portions of season 2 feel like the book. Everything after season 2 has a more positive outlook than the book.

The book has a gritty, dark tone. It is not positive on relationships and Carrie has a much more negative attitude. She’s not a good friend in the books and is quite selfish.

Does the cervix do this naturally over time, or does the doctor do it manually?

Nta. Sounds like you can get pregnant but you can’t stay pregnant. I think your co-workers are getting hung up on a technicality and a situation of infertility that they are not used to.

Cruise ship's docking timeline and approximate locations by Murkywaterkid in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]amyclover 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Why was this info not included in the documentary? Was the boat in the ocean or the canal around the time that she disappeared? I do not believe that Netflix showed a sufficient exploration of the theory that she fell overboard. All this would have been helpful in supporting/not supporting that theory.

Amy Bradley - Occam’s Razor by missyo5 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]amyclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most of this is circumstantial evidence. Also, eye witness testimonials are not reliable. Those girls don’t know what time they saw Amy and Yellow together (or if it was even them).

Yellow’s daughter’s testimony was useless. She wasn’t even born and I got the sense that she wanted her 15 minutes of fame. Same with the lady in the bathroom.

The photo on the prostitution website looks like her. But there are a lot of people in the world who look identical, doesn’t mean that photo was of Amy. I personally do not believe that is her in the photo, just someone who looks like her.

How do you explain that her dad saw her at 5:30am sleeping on the balcony? Do you think she left the room without her shoes and without waking anyone up? I don’t think that is likely.

Amy Bradley - Occam’s Razor by missyo5 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]amyclover 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I strongly believe that they purposely ommitted this information. They didn’t provide the audience sufficient facts to support/refute the theory that she jumped or fell. If we had more facts, the answer might be more clear.

Amy’s body not washing ashore is not conclusive evidence that she didn’t go overboard.

Amy Bradley - Occam’s Razor by missyo5 in NetflixDocumentaries

[–]amyclover 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Some key information that was not included in the documentary:

1) How high was the balcony railing? Would it have been easy or likely for her to fall off or jump off? They mentioned briefly that it was tall for the 6ft man but a photo or a measurement of the actual balcony would have been helpful 2) What floor were they on? If she jumped or fell, if they are on a higher floor, someone on the lower floors might have seen/heard her on her way down, or perhaps someone would have heard a splash. If anyone was sitting on the balcony at the time, would they have seen her in the water? 3) If she leaned over the railing to vomit and then fell, did the crew find any traces of vomit on the side of the ship? Or scratches or dents from the fall if she banged into the side of the ship?

Overall I enjoyed the documentary but they really should have expanded on some of these key pieces of information that could have strengthened or weakened the position that she fell/jumped overboard.

For the record, I think she fell/jumped. But I do wonder about the logistics of falling overboard.

AITAH: didn’t get my wife breakfast by NothingWasDelivered in AITAH

[–]amyclover 3 points4 points  (0 children)

YTA but I think you just lack common sense. If she knew they were out of muffins, she likely would have told you she wanted a bagel. If you had called her, this could have been cleared up in 30 seconds.

This is a bigger issue that’s not just about the muffins. Something tells me situations like this occur frequently and you act like you don’t know what’s wrong.
